Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Isis Swink. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Isis thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear the backstory of how you established your own practice.
Starting my practice as a holistic wellness practitioner was something I had always dreamed of. I had been a coach for many years but had never taken the leap to business owner and all it entailed. It was daunting and seemed like it would be such a hard journey. It was also a step outside of my comfort zone. I felt safe and in control where I was,but deep down I knew that I needed to be doing something bigger so I could expand my healing reach. To follow my passion and purpose to the fullest was something I was made to do. I sought out classes, books and mentors to help and gained invaluable knowledge, confidence, and growth. For young professionals my advice would be to always follow your dreams, and never give up. Seek out resources, learn all you can and step into the direction of your purpose.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Hello, I’m Isis Swink, and my name rhymes with “kisses.” I’m the founder of GenIsis Holistic Life and Wellness, and my passion is helping others find balance and healing for their mind, body, and soul through natural wellness.
As a Speak Life Coach, I love to encourage and uplift people, helping them see their own value and embrace the beautiful life they deserve. There’s nothing more fulfilling than witnessing someone’s transformation when they realize their true worth.
I’ve also created a Self-Care line that includes products like Shea butters, soaps, scrubs, and healing oils—all crafted with love to nurture your body and spirit. Being a certified herbalist, I enjoy blending teas and making herbal remedies that support health and well-being.
Recently, I partnered with Sapphire Sun Travel to offer healing retreats. This collaboration allows me to bring together my love for wellness and creating transformative experiences in beautiful settings.
My journey into holistic healing began during my time in HR, where I naturally found myself offering advice and support to others. This led me to study psychology, western medicine, and holistic wellness. Eventually, I became a Certified Life Coach through Radiant Health Institute.
What I love most about being a coach is the opportunity to truly help people feel seen, heard, and valued. When we provide this kind of support, it can unlock incredible potential and growth. It’s a gift I’m honored to share—helping people understand that they are worthy of all the good things life has to offer.
I’m here for anyone who is ready to step out of their comfort zone and willing to put in the work to create positive change. Together, we can break free from anything holding you back and move toward the life you truly desire.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
What I find most helpful for succeeding in my field other than training is to be authentic and heart-centered. To truly be there for others we have to have an understanding of ourselves. A true love and respect for ourselves. When I first started my practice I had the worst imposter syndrome because I wasn’t perfect but I was trying to help others heal. I felt like I was not worthy of doing this work for others when I was still working on myself. I came to realize that no one is perfect, we are all a work in progress and that does not negate what I can do to help others. I spent time with myself, loving myself, and arrived at a beautiful place of peace, honesty, and authenticity. I am still a work in progress, but my purpose is to help others and I love to honor that.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I have an extensive library of books! I love to read. My practice is spiritual in nature and many books have impacted my entrepreneurial thinking. One book is The Untethered Soul by Micheal Singer. This book helps to free your mind. It helps to release old constructs of thinking, energy usage, and emotions to open you up to your true self. I also love the book Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza. This book teaches you what you think you can be. With your mind, you can heal yourself, and create the life you desire. Lastly, I chose The Twelve Universal Laws of Success by Herbert Harris. This book has been with me for over 10 years and I use it as a reference. It delves into the 12 Laws including the Law of Thought, the Law of Change, and the Law of Vision. It is a profound book and it will take you far if you are looking for success.
