“Success in any field or career requires patience with your progress, even when things don’t go your way. You may also need to make tough sacrifices, such as deciding what to do when your business has a slow month in terms of clients, or choosing to spend time building your craft instead of hanging out with friends and Family.”

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am a passionate photographer originally from Richmond, VA, with 5 years of experience capturing the world through my lens. Before delving into photography, I explored my artistic side through 2D animation and 3D design. My photography journey began with a camera passed down from my grandmother, just before the start of the pandemic. I initially focused on street photography and documenting live music performances at local clubs, finding joy in capturing authentic moments and vibes. Today, I run a photography business specializing in commercial headshots, lifestyle shots, and creating captivating video ads for local businesses. Additionally, I freelance for various events, including college sports and music festivals, and contribute to the local newspaper “The Richmond Times-Dispatch”. One thing I want people to know is that I want your pictures to be a special moment for you to cherish in life.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

“I’ve found that creating eye-catching ads on social media and attending various business meetups are incredibly effective ways to attract new clients. Trying to connect with a diverse range of potential clients.”

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

It’s incredibly fulfilling to witness a client getting super excited about the results of the work I put my heart into. Seeing my work posted for people to see, knowing that it represents my knowledge and expertise, is truly rewarding.
