We recently connected with Janika Williams and have shared our conversation below.

Janika, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the best advice you’ve ever given to a client? (Please note this response is for education/entertainment purposes only and shouldn’t be construed as advice for the reader)

A lot of the work that I conduct with my clients is centered around mindfulness and emotional intelligence.

The best advice I have ever given to a client is that while we have absolutely no control over what others do to us, we have full control over how we respond to what transpires in our lives. Our reaction to those circumstances determine our level of emotional intelligence.

I once had a client who was frustrated about her current predicament at the time. She said: “Bad things are always happening to me.”

My response to her is that while it it’s important to acknowledge how we feel (all emotions serves a necessary purpose), it is also equally imperative that we do not linger in those heavier emotions for too long.

It is often our perspective or outlook on situations in life that dictate our reality.

Janika, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I first took an interest in Astrology when I was nine years old. I started studying it on a deeper level and in my teenaged years, I began doing natal charts for my friends and family as a fun hobby. My love for Tarot came a little later, when I was in my 20s.

In 2020, after the tragic death of my mother, I decided to start an Astrology page on Instagram. At the time, I was just doing something that I loved. It helped me process my grief. It was at that time that Astrologyslore was born.

The products and services that I offer are natal chart readings, Tarot readings, and vent sessions. I also have an e commerce shop where I sell Astrology jewelry, protection tools, and evil eye jewelry. (www.astrologyslore.com)

I provide clarity for my clients, a better solution to work through their problems. Problem solving is an integral part of what I do. I am most proud of my ability to help others. I love my clients; they’re like family!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

What helped me build my reputation within my market was me instilling trust with my clients.

When I first started my business, I provided free services to people for the first six months in exchange for their honest feedback and reviews.

While I am not advising that other business owners do this, it helped me to build a strong rapport with the public and to establish trust.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

Over the years, I am learning to rest when needed. I have done thousands of readings for other people, but I cannot pour from an empty cup.

For example, I decided to take a one month break and hiatus from doing Tarot readings for the month of September. This time has been so needed for me, as it has allowed me to rest and recharge my energy. Spiritual workers need breaks, too.
