We were lucky to catch up with Annalisa Abell recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Annalisa, thanks for joining us today. The first dollar you earn in a new endeavor is always special. We’d love to hear about how you got your first client that wasn’t a friend or family.
I started my virtual assistant business two years ago before I even really knew What a virtual assistant was. If we fast forward to today I have an extremely successful virtual assistant agency or we provide virtual assistant and social media management support small business owners around the world. I also coach people to do exactly what I do in their own way. What’s amazing is I got my very first client from social media from someone I’ve never met before. That person trusted me and allow me to help them take their business to the next level by providing them virtual assistant support.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
My name is Annalisa I currently reside in the Dallas Texas area and I’m the owner of a virtual system and social media management agency. You can find me on all social media platforms creating constant related to becoming a virtual assistant. I gave my first client online that was looking for a virtual assistant to help with their Notary business. From the first experience I was able to learn that being a virtual assistant was a great way to get some extra cash. I went from having a side hustle to creating a multi six figure business. I’ve now worked with people in different industries from entertainment to law to real estate in a fairly short amount of time.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I always looked at being a virtual assistant is just a side hustle until I got a handful of clients waiting in line to work with me and at that moment I started to build a team. If you would’ve told me five years ago that I would have this amazing business that had let me to work with popular podcast, business insider, and other things plan for this year alone I would have thought you were crazy. I now have over seven virtual assistance that work directly under me and I’m now coach over 2500 people how to start their own virtual assistant business just like me.

Are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
One thing I wish I would’ve known is that creating a successful business is really about being consistent and marketing. I’m able to see the results that I see is because I am consistent and I’m not afraid to try new things. I also wish I would have use social media as a tool for my business a lot sooner.
