We recently connected with Ruijia Wang and have shared our conversation below.
Ruijia, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
I think being a minority woman in an industry that predominantly consists of white male is the primary motivation behind my story. It is why I try so hard to accomplish what I have done so far.
Since I was a little girl, all I ever wanted to do was to tell story and it has became my mission to provide a voice for those who are voiceless. I believe in building a business that can not only provide an opportunity for people to be heard but also can create a profitable business that would help me to provide more opportunities to tell different stories from different artist.
That is what my mission is about..
Ruijia, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I run a full service film and video production company that covers a variety of genres and dedicated on creating a dynamic and engaging project from development to final delivery.
I built this based on my 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry. Starting with helping my father who is a producer back in China and now I strive to create a brand of my own.
By focusing on the need of the individual artist, I provide producing service that is personalized with industry leading connections and technologies.
Some of my known collaborator include Jackson Wang, John Woo and Lionel Messi along with frequent world class brand like FILA and Armani
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I believe in the word of the mouth tradition. Most of my clients come from referrals. They have either worked with me before or have known someone who worked with me before.
I think it’s really important to treat others with respect and sincerity. If you put your time and energy into them. It will pay off in the long run by itself.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The feeling that you have when you finish the project and you look back at what you have accomplished from the start. It’s the most satisfying feeling in the world.
