Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Wells
Hi Natasha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well I was born in Houston but raised in Dallas, so I like to say thatI am a city girl but country girl at heart! I am the oldest of three siblings so family is very important to me! My mother was a single parent and raised me to be the best version of myself always instilling in me my core values which is my faith and trust in God! Up until this point in my life that is how I have lived my life with God and my unwavering faith in him!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I was fortunate to be blessed with an amazing gift that God gave me which is the gift of song! Music has been a very integral part of my life and has not only been a passion of mine but has created so much creativity in my life! It has also been a healing for my soul when I’ve had to uplift myself out the most darkest and challenging times! I credit my teachers and professors who taught me so much about finding my voice and being confident in my inner voice to know that I can make an impact in this world with it! And I also give most of my credit to my mom who instilled in me to pursue my passion in music! She has been an unwavering support in my life and has pushed me with care and love!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I like to call myself a multi-genre artist because even though I received my Masters in Voice and went on to become a professional opera singer, I also love to sing classical, jazz, gospel and R & B music! I also act as well which I’ve come to love in these last few years of my career—opera is also a form of acting but to just do acting alone is a gift in itself!
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is knowing that I can wake up everyday only by the grace of God and help and/or encourage someone just with my life experiences and testimony alone to show them that they are not alone! It’s funny when I was younger I used to think that I was alone in my fears along with my trials and tribulations that I was going through, but as I matured and gained wisdom that was far from the truth! There is always someone that is dealing with the same issue or situation as you so you never have to go at it alone!
At the end of the day, happiness is good but I feed my spirit on joy and being joyful in all things! Joy is that enduring faith and trusting in the promises of God even through my circumstances! I can NEVER fail when I have that unspeakable joy and love from Jesus and the fruit of the Holy Spirit!
