Today we’d like to introduce you to Renee Spears
Hi Renee, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was in the mortgage industry for 30 years. I worked for other mortgage companies for 10 years and then started and owned my own company for 20 years. About 6 years ago, I sold the mortgage company and transitioned to a Spiritual Mentor and Spirit Guide Channeler. I now offer one-on-one appointments, host Women’s Wisdom Circles and teach others how to channel.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes, it has been a pretty smooth road. I started right before Covid and 100% of my appointments were in person. I had to pivot to Zoom appointment. It took me a while to transition to online appointments but it also was a blessing because my business expanded outside of where I lived. I now have clients from all over the world. I also do a podcast with a worldwide reach which has really expanded my client base.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a Spirit Guide Channeler, Spiritual Mentor, and Podcast Host. I also lead Women’s Wisdom Circles that meet every 2 weeks for 4 months and we discuss different spiritual topics. This summer I hosted a Spiritual Summer School. I love the variety of the things I do so my job doesn’t get boring.
I also host the Abundology Podcast. I started the podcast 5 years ago and knew NOTHING about podcasting. I post a Weekly Energy Update podcast which covers the astrology, numerology, and collective energy for the week. I’ve now recorded over 335 podcasts and had over 55k downloads of the podcast and almost that many views on my YouTube channel.
After doing home loans for 30 years, it’s really fun to do new things and be a novice again!
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
When I’m not working, most of my time is spent practicing what I preach and just BEING. I live in Montana now and spend a lot of time in nature. My mornings consist of my spiritual practice of gratitude journaling, yoga, pulling Oracle cards, meditating, and walking in nature with my dog.
I’m continually reading spiritual books. Right now I’m reading Michael Beckwith’s book Life Visioning. My newest Women’s Wisdom Circle will also be using this book as the framework for the group. I love taking what I’m experiencing in life and gathering other women to discuss it with, and getting paid to do it.
