We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Tesia Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Tesia below.
Hi Tesia, thanks for joining us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
Since I was a young toddler, I have always known that I wanted to pursue music. I came up with my rap name and rhymes at the age of four. I no longer go by that name anymore (haha), but I created songs with my older brother, Larry. He motivated me to continue on pursuing music because he would tell me that he seen the potential in me and my talent with regard to music. I became more serious about investing in my music career during my college years. I worked to pay for my studio time and eventually, I was able to purchase studio equipment for the first time. I am a self taught engineer.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
My rap name is Tessa Tooreal. I chose that name because I pride myself on always keeping it real, honest, and genuine with myself, my peers, and my community. I have been in the music industry for over 15 years. My business is called A Vibe Called Tess. I provide spiritual and holistic services to my clients. I have a degree in Psychology. This experience has given me the unique ability to assist my clients with their various needs.
What sets me apart from others is my unmatched drive and discipline. I am most proud of my ability to help and inspire other people.
The main thing that I want my potential clients to know is that I offer support that is tailored to their specific needs.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My entire journey serves as an example of resilience. Imagine loving something so much that you want to create it freely and without expectations. That is how I feel about my music career. Music is my first love; it is an unconditional bond that cannot be broken. I create music because I love it. I believe in my ability to inspire and to change lives through my art. A major life goal of mine is to be able to financially support myself and my family through my music.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I have built my audience on social media through consistency and hard work. My social media presence is still a work in progress. My advice for those just starting to build their online presence is: don’t get discouraged. Keep going, establish a content schedule to keep yourself accountable, and surround yourself with like minded individuals that inspire and encourage you!
