Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kim Mosiman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Kim, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope my legacy will be centered around my ability to inspire and empower women to embrace their “second act” with grace, faith, and renewed purpose. Through my writing, coaching and the way I live my life, I hope to encourage women to rediscover their strength, beauty, and joy while balancing their personal and family responsibilities.
Maintaining a focus on the above mindset will also, hopefully, guarantee that my family, particularly my children and grandchildren, know how much they meant to me.

Kim, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a wife, mother, and a new Nana. As an author and wellness coach, I specialize in empowering women embarking on their “second act.”
I worked in the service industry for a long time, owning restaurants with my husband, and also a small boutique gym where I was able to help men and women turn their health around through challenges and group fitness.
I closed the gym when my husband’s career started to slow down and I found myself in the odd place of not having a reason to get up for the first time in my life. I thought I was ready to retire because I wanted to be able to spend time traveling with Jeff, but as it turns out, I was not ready to end my career.
I developed some new (not so healthy) habits and struggled with my self worth and purpose. I’d make a promise each morning to do something good for myself, but often ended the day frustrated with my lack of discipline.
Fortunately, I was able to turn the ship around, finding motivation in the most unexpected place… a bit of scripture at the top of my journal page. “You are all together beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you,” from Song of Solomon 4:7. This became the bit of inspiration that pushed me to take back my health and change my point of view.
I wrote a book titled “Reflections of Joy: Learning to Love the Woman You See While Becoming the One You’re Meant to Be. I am a wellness coach and through the process of writing, I discovered a new opportunity to serve and now also work with authors to help them complete their books and launch them into the world.
I am most proud of my ability to see the good in life. I could have thrown my hands up in the air… it’s easy to do. But instead, I learned to love my life and my body exactly the way it is TODAY. It’s my hope to provide inspiration to the women I work with. If I can do it, they can too.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a writer and coach is the ability to inspire transformation in others. Stories have the power to translate personal experiences, challenges, and insights into works that resonate with others, fostering meaningful change. Whether it’s through writing, coaching, or teaching, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with people on an emotional and spiritual level, providing guidance, comfort, and encouragement.
Seeing women empowered to embrace their second act—reclaiming their health, rediscovering their joy, and deepening their faith—is very satisfying. The act of sharing my stories and strategies for wellness and growth allows me to impact lives, offering others a pathway to healing and self-fulfillment. The most gratifying reward for any creative is knowing their work has made a lasting, positive difference in someone else’s life.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my practice as a wellness coach and author has been to share my personal experience, spiritual insight, and wellness training.
It’s been important to introduce myself as a coach who combines faith, wellness, and transformation. I’ve highlighted my personal journey and the release of Reflections of Joy through podcasts, interviews, or guest blogs, which has grown my audience and expanded my client base.
I’ve created a community-focused platform with my new Facebook group, JoyFull Healthy Holidays. I hope to provide a space where women can share their journeys, ask questions, and find support.
I share testimonials and reviews when I can and try to be consistent with my message by sharing from my book, blogs, social media, and newsletters.
