Today we’d like to introduce you to Stanley Bois
Hi STANLEY, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My brother, Nelson Damoura, founded Hotinri—it was his passion project. We were incredibly close, and after his passing, I made the decision to leave Florida and return to Rhode Island to continue his legacy. It became my way of keeping his memory alive. Since then, I’ve expanded the company from its photography roots into film production, and we now have several movies, short films, and docu-series under our belt.”
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
“The journey was far from smooth. I had to transition from being an introvert to becoming comfortable with the discomfort of being more extroverted, especially in the context of meeting thousands of people at various events. Along the way, I also navigated the many challenges and nuances of running a small business.”
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
“Hotinri now operates under our umbrella company, Bois Media Group LLC, and has evolved into a full-fledged film production company. We specialize in feature-length films, short films, docu-series, and commercials, while still catering to weddings and private events. One of our proudest achievements was selling out multiple theaters during the premiere of our film *Pray for the Bear,* which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime and TubiTV. We’re now gearing up for the release of our next feature, *Innocence Lost.* Our commitment to becoming a global brand distinguishes us from other companies in the industry.”
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
“We’ve also expanded into publishing with our own *Hotinri Magazine*, and our upcoming issue will feature Kali Reis from HBO’s hit series *True Detective* on the cover. Its also a smart magazine it comes with an app. Several podcasts have been instrumental in helping me perform at my best, including *Earn Your Leisure*, *High Level Conversations*, *Blackout*, *Social Proof Podcast*, *Wall Street Trapper*, *Million Dollar Worth of Game*, and *The Franchise Report*. When it comes to books, some of my favorites are *The Autobiography of Malcolm X*, *48 Laws of Power* and *Mastery* by Robert Greene, *Ego is the Enemy*, *Blue Ocean Strategy*, and *The FBI War Against Tupac Shakur*.”
