Gavin, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

Really just going Full time with Photography, it wasn’t an easy decision but im glad I never looked back. Having being let go from working at my full time job I knew I didn’t want to go back to working for someone else so quickly, so I started a small sale for some photos and from there that sale turned to clients, shows, videos, etc.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

My name is Gavin Crusoe aka (SDE Images), Im an Atlanta based Photographer/ Videographer. Ive been shooting for about 4/5 years now Professionally, and have worked with serval artist like Latto, Anycia, Sexyy Redd, Marco Plus as well platforms like TrshMag, FromTheBlock, Dope Concepts Media. I got started I got a buzz taking fisheye photos for Big Papito he gave me a chance to follow him around and take photos of his life and brand Burgundy. Later got to working for Trshmag doing Bts photos for their Performance videos and interviews. Got doing shows and working for lotus rosery, Then got invited to start working for FromTheBlock taking photos of their performance videos and capturing the viral moments you’ve seen today.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Consistency, Focus, Knowing yourself, as well my work ethic. I say consistency because when I started I was everywhere, Concerts, listening party, Bus for music videos you name it I was there. I was posting events the night they happened or first in the morning. Focus because I knew what I wanted, and had the help, as well guidance to get it done, trust me it wasn’t easy but I was shooting 11/12 hours a day for 5/6 days a week. Knowing yourself because comparing yourself to your peers and people above you is very easy but knowing your worth and having confidence in the confidence in the art you create it’ll be alot easier to make the art.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Growing Dope Concepts as well the Dope Concepts Media team. With Dope Concepts I wanna have the opportunity to throw bigger shows and bring a light to the underground artist in Atlanta that done get the buzz fr. Plus with the media team just showing folks we are an amazing collective of Shooters, Videographer, Graphic Designers, ETC. As well hopefully a Dope Concepts Mixtape Hopefully able to drop before the end of the year featuring some of your favorite underground rappers.
