Hi Quanisha, thanks for joining us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your business and how did you resolve those issues?

I absolutely love being a Licensed Esthetician that specializes in Full Body Waxing , although it has challenges like everything else. Living here in Texas is a blessing! The weather for the most part stays pretty warm, but of course when it gets cold…ITS COLD. The weather and even businesses can become very cold during the fall and winter months. If you are not prepared or have not planned for the seasons to change, you can definitely encounter some issues! Being in business for six years, I have experienced unexpected things like a pandemic that was totally out of my control.
Most entrepreneurs I believe we like to have some sense of control, especially when it comes to our business. I remember during pandemic the states was shutting down non essential businesses which included my business of course and at that time I did a lot of reflecting. First thing, never get too comfortable in your business without having other streams of income! During that year I end up moving to another state, running my business one week out of the month for six months until I moved back. Going back and forth was so overwhelming, the week being filled with clients. Most of the days there was at least 12 clients a day and on the last day rushing to finish just to make my flight back home on time. During that time I stayed in a hotel through the week, I would walk from the hotel to my was suite or sometimes catch a ride if I was able too. I end up losing and sacrificing some things in the process of running my business, but I gained a brighter perspective and learned to never get comfortable where you are in life because things can always change.

Of course social media is the best tool to reach for clients , but I believe word of mouth is always going to be your first clientele!

I love staying in touch with my clients through email marketing or through my social media platform which is (IG: @baresuites). Posting on my story or sending 2 to 3 emails a month allows my clients to know my availability ,any specials or changes to the business.
