We were lucky to catch up with Leigh Zamora recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Leigh, thanks for joining us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
My parents always told me growing up, “If you want to make something happen in your life Leigh, YOU need to make it happen!” I love that they instilled this in me from an early age, Coming from a place of, “You need to make it happen” is so empowering and exciting! My entire life has been filled with taking action on my ideas, travelling to new places, saying yes to opportunities! EgoTroll Be Gone: Actions of Accountability is a result of this exact mindset!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Your ABILITY to take personal ACCOUNT purposefully moves you forward! EgoTroll Be Gone: Actions of Accountability provides an accountable baseline to define, clarify and enhance your Actions of Accountability so you will continually advance, live freely and thrive! In today’s world, we are highly influenced by so many unaccountable forums including cyberspace, social media, gaming, AI and more. The value and positivity of accountability are greatly displaced in these realms, creating a breakdown of self worth and self knowledge. It is my hope and goal to plant the seeds of accountability for our next generation and us ALL so we will continually grow and prosper with a clear sense of self, purpose and ABILITY to take personal ACCOUNT!
Have you ever had to pivot?
When I was 20 years old, I travelled to the island of Cyprus with the plan to stay there and work through the Winter, Euro rail across Europe in the Spring, then move to Hong King. I had my Euro rail pass with me, was working as a bartender in Limassol and had spent time in Hong Kong previously, so I was full force ahead on my plan.
A couple of months in, I got appendicitis and spent the money I had brought with me on an appendectomy. While recovering in the hospital, I got super present with myself and decided to make a life pivot. Instead of continuing on my planned course forward, I returned home and received an unexpected phone call from a friend inviting me to share a place with her on Maui. I accepted and lived many years there, learning, growing, adventuring and eventually meeting my wonderful husband!
That life pivot changed the entire course of my life! That experience really illuminated to me at a young age the importance of taking the time to sit with myself, listen and take action on my best life course as defined by me!
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
My success in my field and my life is a direct result of my ability to take personal account! When I feel stagnate, I engage my Actions of Accountability and purposefully move forward! The choice to stagnate or advance is mine everyday! I want to live my best hundred years here on this earth and my clarity of my Actions of Accountability allow me to consistently advance, live freely and thrive! That is success to me, as defined by me!
