Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Darcy. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Darcy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Setting up an independent practice is a daunting endeavor. Can you talk to us about what it was like for you – what were some of the main steps, challenges, etc.
I have been practicing Energy Healing and Divination Arts since my late teens. It wasn’t until the current, trying times of the so-called pandemic that pushed me to set up shop. It was pertinent choosing to step into a field where I could can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives by helping them restore balance and wellness on a holistic level since 2020 robbed so many people of their sovereignty.
The roughest part is gathering collateral to have an office. For many years, subleasing office space from others who operated spiritual centers or also renting from yoga studios to conduct large-scale Sound Healing events, but was indeed my only choice. It gets tough because of the realization of not having your own space, one can feel ungrounded. Still, this part of the process had to suffice and when you are authentic, your clients will remain with you.
In regards to challenges, I decided to make my business by referral only. This may not be appealing to many and there is no discriminatory intent, but given the depth of my work, I was not focused on volume. I will never be focused on volume; that’s not what my Soul Contract is about. This was a bit tough, but it is 110% true, that what you are, you will attract. Given it was 2021 when I opened my office, that would seem pretty bleak to most. I proved that wrong.
The main point to stress to young professionals is to get out and collaborate. Networking within your industry and asking if local collectives offer discounted rates for “start-up” opportunities. As an introvert, this was painful but I had to break that barrier of being social and getting to know people within the healing community. Your participation and intention will carry resonance through the cosmos so that the puzzle pieces to your vision will manifest.

Darcy, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My vocation is diverse in nature. Somewhere after 2011 (which does speak to astrology) everyone seemed to be labeling themselves as an energy healer. With saying that, I was a bit put off. Just like any trendy cycle and observing the conscious collective, that would soon fade. As a young girl growing up in Southern California, most of my younger years were focused on outside physical activity and health. Where the gifts that I use in my work are more from family lineage, I knew something was very different about the world around me versus my friends and schoolmates. What I knew in 1998 is now starting to unfold in our current timeline regarding the healing arts. I began to study Eastern medicine in the early 90s and took to using weighted tuning forks to find what I call “misfires” within the core 12 meridians or body channels. This insatiable curiosity lead me to the deep realm of frequency healing.
The body is a container of information that needs to purge, restore, and reinstate improved cycles over its entire existence. Not an easy task, especially if an individual is regressive, stuck, or expecting a quick fix. I’m not certain if anything sets me apart from others. My clients do say, “Darcy, your consistency in getting at any issue is remarkable.” I suppose that might point to strength, whether mental or physical has guided me to stay the course God has intended.
Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Indeed! In 2014 I had a tyrant boss, an emotionally unavailable boyfriend, and Spirit was pulling me like taffy to leave it all. Some of the last words from my ex-boyfriend (highly unsupportive) was the leap I needed to take and I did just that. When you have negativity surrounding you, you must stop. I mean stop. No reexamining, no talking it out. The old adage, “What you resist persists” needs to be at the forefront of human exchanges on the daily. Understand, that if you have a vision and goal that is crystal clear but there are things/people/locations/dated thinking in your way, remove yourself from said agents and shift into your true sense of being.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
I am a big fan of Carl Jung and Ayn Rand. Being fairly young when I got a hold of their works (I’ve read too many to list) but both of these wonderful humans celebrate the spirit of the individual. Sad to say in this day and age, that sense of being seems to be diminished.
