We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kim Veiga a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Kim, appreciate you joining us today. Do you think folks should manage their own social media or hire a professional? What do you do?
After a highly successful career in New York real estate, I made a strategic shift to lead sales at Felene across five diverse markets. My unwavering commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation drives me to build a dynamic and sustainable business environment where quality, customer satisfaction, and community impact are always at the forefront.
My journey with Felene began as the Social Media Manager. Recognizing my adept use of social media in real estate, Tim Kelly, our CEO and Founder, invited me to manage Felene’s social media presence. I eagerly embraced this opportunity, as I had already developed a profound passion for our product and was enthusiastically sharing it with my network.
During the pandemic, my interest in mixology grew as I started crafting delightful cocktails with Felene Vodka. The vodka’s exceptional flavor allowed me to create perfect drinks with just a splash of seltzer. It also makes a great martini!
Recently, the Felene team has been diligently crafting weekly blogs, dedicating considerable time and effort to ensure they are informative and engaging. These blogs are sent out to our customers through a weekly email, and we’ve received a great deal of positive feedback. Our blog content covers a wide range of topics within the spirits industry, offering valuable insights and updates.
Over the past four years at Felene, I have continued to play a significant role in our social media efforts, even as I advanced to the position of President. My focus remains on delivering authentic content that resonates with our followers, who include customers, clients, restaurateurs, and enthusiasts of Felene Vodka. Our social media presence reflects our core values and showcases our vodka’s high quality—it is pure, sugar-free, carb-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, and delicious. I take pride in sharing daily updates that highlight our product’s unparalleled quality and the positive experiences of our community.

Kim, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
After spending 20 years in the information technology industry and more recently in real estate, I felt a deep desire to pursue something more fulfilling than working for others. When I met Tim Kelly, CEO and Founder of Felene, we immediately connected and recognized that we could build something great together. I decided to invest in the company, left my job in New York, and relocated to Colorado to help grow the business.
Four years later, our hard work has paid off spectacularly. We are now at the forefront of the industry, with retail stores and restaurants eagerly reaching out for Felene Vodka. Our daily commitment and passion for our product make it feel less like work and more like realizing a dream, one step at a time. We’ve expanded into five markets and are now featured in over 500 stores and restaurants. This is just the beginning; we’re dedicated to being in the market every day until Felene Vodka is available in every store and restaurant in the US!

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I first met Tim Kelly, CEO and Founder of Felene, when he was based in Buffalo, NY. After our initial meeting, the pandemic struck, but we stayed in touch throughout. During that time, I focused on learning everything I could about Felene Vodka, entrepreneurship, building a business, and the spirits industry. Once the pandemic subsided, I traveled to Colorado and decided to become a partner in the business. Since then, we’ve been thriving together.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My resilience has been a driving force in my journey over the past four years. Despite the exhaustion and occasional desire to rest, I remain focused on our ultimate goal: making Felene Vodka the most beloved vodka on the market. This dedication keeps me working tirelessly, including Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in liquor stores and restaurants, where I enthusiastically share the virtues of our vodka with anyone who will listen. The real reward comes when people taste it and choose to buy it.
This industry demands determination, hard work, and a genuine love for engaging with customers. Beyond being a mom, I haven’t experienced a job that ignites my adrenaline quite like Felene Vodka does. Running your own business means persisting through every challenge, driven by a passion for what you do,
