We recently connected with Mk Campbell and have shared our conversation below.
MK, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you tell us the backstory behind how you came up with the idea?
For years, I felt led to be an inspirational speaker and trainer. However, I was a single mom and the entrepreneur’s life wasn’t in the cards. In February of 2021, I was in a bad car accident. As I sat in the ambulance, blood dripping down my face and a gash that was 3 inches wide and 7 inches long across the entire top of my head, I knew I needed to make some changes. You see, I was on that treadmill of life going no where. I KNEW I had the opportunity to make a difference in others’ lives and Queens of Moxie was born.
Moxie is hutzpah, sass, determination and perseverance. It’s all about finding joy, purpose and community and when you focus on MOXIE, you can move from auditing life to living life!
MK, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
My car accident left me with a “brain vacation,” or traumatic brain injury. I sat in the ambulance and KNEW I needed to make changes. I wasn’t happy in life even though it looked like things were great: great job, great salary, great home, great kids.
In my first round of PT, my processing speed was 16%. That’s on a bell curve. It was BAD. by the end of that round of PT, it was 64%. I imagine it’s even higher now.
When your brain is damaged, you find yourself redefining everything. What does success look like now? What is a reasonable expectation for myself? How do I focus my attention and time on the things that really matter, both personally and professionally? How do I find fulfillment in my everyday life?
I’m grateful for the time and insight I’ve gained through my therapy and research. I now speak across the country on mindset and resilience. In my keynote speech is Stop Auditing Life: Reclaim Your Moxie!, I provide a roadmap to live in the present and find fulfillment.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I was an executive in strategic marketing and communications. By all accounts, I was successful. And then, on a chilly February evening, a man pulled directly in front of my car from a side road without looking. I was going the speed limit of 60. I couldn’t slow down, let alone stop. I swerved to miss him, but hit the bed of his pick up truck. I rolled 360 and spun around 180, landing in the shoulder facing the wrong way with my horn blaring.
I went from executive to disabled in a flash. Now, I use that experience, plus research and therapy to help others find joy, purpose and community through my inspirational speaking and training programs. I leverage more than 25 years of experience in the field to help others shift their mindset and maximize resilience! Stop Auditing Life and Reclaim Your MOXIE!
