We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Gabrielle Briggs. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Gabrielle below.
Gabrielle , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
One cold winter day, I decided I was going to take a walk around my neighborhood to clear my head. It was a warmer than usual day and the stay started off weird in general. For one, I never think to walk around, and I wouldn’t dream of doing it in the winter. 10 minutes in, something told me to speak out loud all the things that have been bothering me. Per usual, I started reflecting on my business. Thinking about the things I shouldn’t have done, things I could have done better and of course what I could be doing now in the present moment. The minute that I started being hard on myself, it made me get very emotional but this was different than my usual spirals. I was warm, almost like a warming sensation but it was like 20 something degrees outside. Then I felt comfort, almost like someone wrapped their arms around my inner child and guided me through all of the emotions I was experiencing. This day birthed a series that, after months, is currently coming to fruition. That walk was about growth, letting go of dead weight and truly seeing myself for who I actually am and being comfortable with not fitting into the box I felt I was placed in.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
One day my best friend at the time sent me a post on instagram from a young lady looking for models to showcase her body contouring business and I signed up. I just worked on reducing my stomach but the visible results I saw days later truly peaked my interest. I haven’t always been a heavier weight, but failed pregnancies trashed my body and I needed something to help me get back. I was working at the casino and knew that’s not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. So I got to researching. And when it comes to research, I should’ve worked for the FBI. In 3 months, my coworkers watched me prepare for my career change. I was going to quit the casino, start working at the post office and start my business. In November of 2019, I flew to New Orleans to take a training class and by January 2020 I was officially opened for business. Then the pandemic happened. I was laid off from the post office and went to school for skincare while growing my business. I still get messages from people that watched me during that time telling me that was one of the wildest experiences to witness because they’ve never seen in real time someone shoot for their dreams and actually make it.
The real reason and driving force behind my business is my family’s health. I learned at a young age the easiest way to save people is to save yourself first. I figured if I could show how life could be when you are healthy, it would help my family adopt better eating and exercising habits. I take bodies serious as a body contourist. It’s why I’ve been taking my serum specialty serious. Topical serums are what I’m great at but what I truly give my clients is community. I’m a girl’s girl true and true and I know how it feels when you feel like you’ve lost your spark and you’re trying to find it again. I help bring that spark back. With positive self concept talk AND topical serums that can be done in the privacy of your home.
My most proud moment of my career so far, is traveling the US offering this service. I’ve met hundreds of women and men, from a lot of different places. I’m always excited when someone trusts me to help them on their weight loss journey because it’s something I’m so familiar with. When you look up “micro-infusions” on TikTok, you’ll see my page scattered all over the place. Not only for helping clients but for also breaking the barrier in helping others do the same thing as well. I’ve taught doctors and NPs. Little ‘ole me.

Have you ever had to pivot?
In 2021, I was using a beauty instrument called the hyaluron pen to offer my serum services. The cost of supplies were getting outrageous and then the FDA started its ban because of complications behind its power. This pen was my bread and butter but I would have had to raise my prices just to be able to be able to keep up with demand. One night I was up until almost 4am, researching a better technique. It’s 3 years later and the results are even better. I didn’t let that part of the industry changing stop me from pursuing my dream.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I was able to build reputation within my market by showing how my services and products work on myself. The first time I went viral on TikTok in 2021, I just wanted to post a service I offer. And the only reason I posted myself is because I didn’t have a model available. I never knew that would start a year-long tour offering my services. My body has transformed before everyone’s eyes, especially with me in an industry where plastic surgery is normal. I wanted to show people that they didn’t have only two options for losing stubborn fat.
