We recently connected with Andie Wren and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Andie, thanks for joining us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
My mission is to create a safe space where my clients can feel truly heard and supported. I know firsthand how valuable it is to have an environment where you can share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings without fear of judgment. It is my goal to offer that kind of space—one that fosters balance, personal growth, resilience, mindfulness, and meaningful connections. Whether it’s through offering guidance, encouragement, or simply listening, I’m here to help clients navigate their challenges with compassion.
Life has thrown me some pretty intense curveballs—from managing a chronic condition to navigating changing relationship dynamics, I’ve had my fair share of lessons. But here’s the thing: I never gave up. My resilience has pushed me forward, even when I wanted to curl up and retreat. And believe me I did that for a while too. I’ve learned that it’s not about dodging life’s uncomfortable parts, but rather meeting them head-on with courage and understanding, knowing that I’ll come out the other side a little stronger and a little wiser.
For me, one of the hardest personal challenges has been navigating life’s transitions, while learning to honor my unique experiences and build my self-esteem. Trust me, I’ve had to remind myself many times that growth is messy and doesn’t always come in a straight line. But these struggles are what keep me going—they make life interesting and my journey more fulfilling and meaningful. They fuel my desire to continue evolving.
Compassion has transformed how I approach my growth. Most of us tend to be overly critical of ourselves—I know I can be—but I’ve learned that compassion is the real game-changer. It sparks progress in a way criticism never could. Through compassion, I’ve been able to foster healthier mindsets and relationships, both for myself and for others. It’s been the key to lasting growth without burning out.
Let’s be real—there are days when life feels overwhelming, and I’m not immune to that. Emotions, thoughts, and challenges can hit hard. But mindfulness techniques have been my saving grace. They help me accept feelings and sensations as they come without spiraling into negativity. With mindfulness, I’ve found a deeper sense of peace, awareness, and acceptance that keeps me grounded.
I’ve also learned how vital it is to stay grounded in the face of external chaos. Balancing the parts of me that are big, bold, and beautiful with the parts that can sometimes slip into negativity is an ongoing process. But I embrace the complexity. I’m committed to nurturing my self-esteem and self-compassion, knowing it’s this inner work that allows me to continue showing up fully—not just for myself, but for my clients and the important people in my life as well.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
About Me:
I’m Andie Wren, a 20-year-old non-binary tarot and oracle reader, as well as an artist. I’m self taught in my spiritual practice, which allows me to explore my gifts in my own unique way. Though I can’t fully explain where my talents come from or how they work, I trust them to guide me in my work and in navigating life.
I am a deep thinker, always seeking answers to the big questions: Where do I belong? Where did I come from? What am I meant to do? How can I be better? I’m sensitive yet strong, which enables me to offer truthful gentleness in delivering guidance. I often take time for contemplation and reflection until my inner world feels calm.
While I can charm just about anyone, I am introverted and value my time alone to rest, recover, and cultivate my art. I love doing my own thing, staying away from the crowd to maintain my independence. This balance helps me to integrate the wisdom I gain from both my life and my readings, fueling my drive and passion for what I do.
How did I get into my industry, business, craft:
My journey into tarot began in the summer of 2020 after a car accident—a life-altering event that ignited a deep quest to uncover my purpose. Over the last 4 years, I turned to TikTok, where I spent countless hours watching various tarot readers from different backgrounds. This immersion helped me discover what techniques reasoned with me and what didn’t.
Exploring and playing with different decks and spiritual tools alongside my mom was another chapter in my journey. By the summer of 2023, a move to Montana for a job opportunity after a breakup provided a significant shift in my practice. When I returned home, I dedicated myself to shuffling cards, painting, listening to music, and conducting personal readings in the backyard of my parents’ house.
In early 2024, I realized that reading for oneself can be challenging due to inherent biases, but I found a natural ease with it. This led me to an ad at a local crystal shop looking for new spiritual practitioners—a shop where I had sourced many of my tools. After a successful reading for the shop owner, I began offering free readings to build my confidence. On my birthday, I conducted my first paid readings, and since then, I’ve been fully committed to my tarot reading business.
What kind of product, creative works, services do I provide:
The readings I offer range in price depending on their length and the time of the month. I don’t limit myself to a specific amount of cards or decks. My focus is offering practical and tangible steps forward after we discuss your situation, either in person or online. During the week of the New Moon and Full Moon, I offer discounted readings. Each reading reflects the energy of the moon cycle.
New moons mark the beginning of the cycle, making them perfect for setting goals, planning ahead, shifting perspectives, self-reflection, and watching things unfold. Major themes often start to emerge at the time.
Full moons are in the middle of the cycle, revealing what’s beneath the surface. It’s a good time to trust your abilities, conquer fears, release burdens, and protect your boundaries. Emotions may feel heightened, bringing feelings of fulfillment, sensitivity, validation, excitement and belonging.
I also write channeled messages on social media platforms, blending my spiritual insights with my love for nature. Each post I make is paired with a photo taken during my nature adventure and rock hunts, allowing the energy and vividness of the natural world to compliment the wisdom in my readings. This approach not only represents who I am as an individual but also offers a glimpse of what I see and experience. Combining my intuitive work with the peaceful, grounding energy of nature adds depth and authenticity to everything I create. It’s incredibly satisfying to know my business is truly mine from start to finish.
Additionally, I offer a party service where you can book me to provide tarot and oracle readings for your event. Whether it’s a private gathering, a celebration, or a social get-together, I bring a unique and interactive experience to guests. My readings are tailored to the events and the interest of the attendees, creating a memorable and engaging atmosphere. I ensure that everyone has the opportunity to receive personal insights and guidance, making your event not only special but also deeply enriching for all involved.
What problems do I solve for my clients:
As a tarot reader, I understand that tarot itself does not solve problems—action from the client is essential. However, I can help guide them through a wide range of personal challenges. Whether they are grappling with internal conflicts, seeking clarity on difficult decisions, or looking for confirmation in their choices, I provide insights that help them find direction and peace.
For those needing emotional healing or coping with major life transitions, my readings offer a supportive space for self-reflection and understanding. I help clients identify blockages, recognize patterns in their behavior or circumstances, and forge a clear pathway forward.
Ultimately, my goal is to guide clients through their struggles by offering clarity, perspective, and a sense of empowerment to take the next step in their journey.
What sets me apart from others:
What truly sets me apart as a tarot reader is that I don’t follow the traditional ‘rules.’ My journey into tarot was entirely self-taught -– I didn’t learn from a mentor or read a ‘how to’ book. Instead, I spent countless hours watching other readers, and narrowing down what resonated with me. Throughout this process of observation and absorption, I developed my own unique approach.
Unlike some practitioners who adhere to a strict set of rituals and practices, I’m much more relaxed. I often use multiple decks during a reading and don’t feel the need to say a prayer beforehand. My focus is on creating a personalized and intuitive experience for each client, rather than following mainstream spiritual trends. This flexibility allows me to offer a fresh, grounded perspective in my readings, making my practice truly my own.
What am I most proud of:
What I’m most proud of is starting my tarot reading business in the first place and having the courage to continue putting myself and my work out there. Networking and using my voice to help others has been both rewarding and empowering. I’ve stayed true to what works for me and haven’t wavered from my own truth, even when the path was uncertain. It’s the small steps forward—each reading, each connection—that have become the foundation for my business, and I take pride in not giving up, no matter the challenges. My commitment to this journey reflects my resilience and dedication to helping others, as well as myself, grow.
What are the main things I want potential clients/followers to know about me and my brand:
There’s an important part of my journey that I want to share—how growing up in Mormonism affected me and ultimately shaped the path I’m on today. My experience with the church was deeply challenging, leaving me feeling restricted and disconnected from my true self. The rigid beliefs and expectations made it impossible to explore my own identity and spirituality freely. It was a constant struggle between trying to fit in with what I was told was ‘right’ and what I personally felt to be true.
Breaking away from Mormonism was one of the most shocking and traumatizing experiences I’ve had, but it was also the most freeing. It allowed me to embrace my individuality, my beliefs, and my connection to the universe in a way that resonates deeply with me. The natural world became my sanctuary, a place where I could start to understand the energy and magic that exists beyond structured religion.
Leaving the church also taught me the importance of finding your own truth, and that’s something I bring to my tarot readings. I’m here to guide others in their own journeys, whether they’re feeling trapped by limiting beliefs or searching for a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them. I know first hand how hard it can be to step away from something that doesn’t serve you, but I also know the immense power in reclaiming your life on your own terms.
It is because of my upbringing that I avoid using mainstream spiritual terms—not because I don’t believe in some of them, but because they can be triggering and or misunderstood. Words like God, angels, spirit, divine feminine/masculine, twin flame, soulmate, karmic, ascension, or awakening are not central to my practice. Instead, I draw on the universe and the natural earth to convey the ‘magic’ of something bigger than us.
I also want to clarify that I cannot offer professional advice in areas like medical, legal, financial, or psychological matters, and I’m not responsible for any outcomes after a client’s reading. Confidentiality is important to me—anything shared will remain private and will not be disclosed to third pirates. Mutual respect and professionalism are expected from both sides during all readings and interactions.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been through in-person events. Collaborating with brick and mortar businesses to host walk-in tarot reading events and participating in larger gatherings with other spiritual practitioners and artists have been invaluable. These settings allow me to connect with people face-to-face, offer a glimpse of my unique approach, and build trust in a personal and meaningful way. Being present at these community events creates organic opportunities for growth, as word-of-mouth spreads and people feel drawn to my relaxed and intuitive style of reading.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
At the beginning of 2024, I made a choice that changed the course of my life: I quit my job. It wasn’t just about leaving work—it was the catalyst for realizing I was standing at a crossroads, with no clear direction ahead. At that time, I didn’t have any friends to lean on. I was alone, forced to confront myself, and it was terrifying. I began the process of unraveling what I truly wanted in life and more importantly what I deserved. But that clarity didn’t come easily.
What followed was a period filled with grief, anger, and confusion. I was faced with emotions I hadn’t fully processed—feelings that had built up over years of trying to fit into molds I was never meant to fill. The intensity of those uncomfortable feelings was overwhelming, and for a while, I turned to external ways of numbing and distracting myself to cope. The numbness was a temporary escape, but deep down, I knew I was only prolonging the inevitable.
There was a point where I wanted to give up on life altogether. It felt like everything I had ever known had crumbed, and I was left holding the pieces, unsure if they could ever be put back together. Life had thrown countless curveballs, but this time was different. This time, I was in the depths of uncertainty, facing myself in a way I never had before.
Despite everything, I didn’t give up. There was a voice inside of me, faint at first, but persistent. It reminded me that there was more to life than this moment of despair—that resilience wasn’t about avoiding hardship, but facing it head-on. Slowly, I began to confront the discomfort instead of running from it. It wasn’t easy, and it didn’t happen overnight, but with each small step, I found pieces of myself I had forgotten about, and discovered new ones along the way.
As I worked through the grief and anger, I started to build a vision of the life I wanted—one grounded in self-respect, purpose, and clarity. I let go of things that no longer served me, including toxic patterns and limiting beliefs. In the process I discovered strength I didn’t know I had.
Life hasn’t stopped throwing challenges my way, but I learned that it isn’t about avoiding the hard parts. It’s about confronting them with courage and understanding. That’s what my resilience is: not the absence of struggle, but the refusal to be defined by it. My journey hasn’t been linear, but each twist and turn has led me closer to who I’m truly meant to be.
