We were lucky to catch up with Michele Foster recently and have shared our conversation below.
Michele, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Pain, and burnout from the corporate suite. I lost my enthusiasm for my career and my purpose.
I am a person who loves life and I felt like I could not see myself doing for 20 more years doing what used to fell good and contributing and I needed to find my happy again.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I worked in the food and drug industry for 30 years, starting at Johnson & Johnson and receiving tier-one training and mentorship. My father had always coached me about big business since he was a corporate executive; however, I learned how recession-proof the food industry is, which has always stuck with me. As a sports nutritionist, I knew the importance of good nutrition and had always been trained and recovered in sports using natural remedies. Thus, I was well poised for the next adventure in my career when I moved into natural therapeutics.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
My first business was a brick-and-mortar that I built and developed into a profitable venture. However, dealing with a business partner is one lesson that I learned. I do not have one, now and never will again. I say this because I had to close a profitable business that was growing and thriving because of the lack of integrity of my partner, and I knew it was a matter of time; once I learned the truth, things would go south. It costs me more money to close down than to start up, so I warn of this potential pitfall for future entrepreneurs.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My resilience came from following in the footsteps of very successful people. I first got trained in intranet since I was a corporate internet girl, which is very different.
Then, I followed a model based on my “why” for the future: the mission of serving others while building a financial wall so strong for my family that nothing could tear it down.
The model was Paul Zayne Pilsner’s book – The Nest Millionaires, which made me six feet tall and bulletproof.
