We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Molly Meek a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Molly thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about the things you feel your parents did right and how those things have impacted your career and life.
I was raised by a single mom who divorced my alcoholic father when I was 7. It was her and I against the world. Until she met my step father, whom at the time I was hesitant to accept but now has been the stable father foundation for both myself, and my daughter as an incredible grandfather to her.
However, my childhood was built on the beliefs my mother always instilled in me and has made me the woman I am today.
When I describe my mom to others, I always say she is such a new age hippy and raised me on the principles of the law of attraction and the law of assumption from an early age.
Most of it never sank in until I was in my mid 20’s but she laid the foundations enough for me to have a really great core belief system that is very optimistic and believe that what you put out into the world, you get back and our thoughts become things so we must choose them wisely.
Over the course of my life, my businesses, and laying the foundations of leaving my own legacy for my daughter and the women in my circles, I have adapted the mentality of “This or something better” because of the way my mom always taught me to think.
I believe that the Universe/God/Source (whatever you personally call it) will never remove something or someone from your life and replace it with a less than or more harmful/stressful version of whatever or whomever was removed. As we grow and evolve, so does our reality.

Molly, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
For those who may not have read about me before, here’s a bit about my journey.
After high school, I enrolled in a holistic health program with the intention of becoming a life coach. However, the program was discontinued, and I was left at a crossroads. That’s when I decided to pursue my true passion and attended cosmetology school. It felt like divine intervention, and I ended up exactly where I was meant to be. I spent 16 years in the beauty industry, owning multiple salons, helping grow the careers of hundreds of stylists, and inspiring thousands of students across the country. It was incredibly fulfilling, but after reaching my goals and moving states, I realized it was time for a new chapter.
Now, I’m focused on coaching, helping women, entrepreneurs, and spiritual seekers find their voice and reclaim their personal power in areas like money, love, and business. I also offer social media management services, drawing from the experience I gained while running my own business and building my brand over the years. In addition, I host wellness retreats and pop-up events to help women disconnect from society and reconnect with themselves.
The clients I work with often feel unsure about where to start. They have a vision but can’t seem to figure out the next steps. Many struggle with time management and balancing inner work with external goals like growing their business or enhancing their social media presence. My approach is compassionate and inspiring—I help clients reverse engineer their goals using mindset and manifesting techniques, alongside tangible action steps. With access to my network, expertise, and the latest trends in content creation, my clients gain momentum quickly.
What sets me apart is the unique blend of experience, intuition, and practical guidance I provide. Having been an educator, stylist, and business owner for over a decade, my perspective is unmatched, and I offer real-time insights that shift clients’ mindsets. I provide them with practical tools they can implement immediately to move the needle toward their goals.
One of my proudest achievements is helping so many people manifest their dreams. Whether it’s reaching a business milestone, finding love, or increasing self-confidence, I’ve seen it happen for my clients over and over. A memorable success story comes from a coaching client whose dream was to become a mother, even though she wasn’t pregnant or dating at the time. After just a few months of working together, she became the full guardian of her sister’s child, fulfilling that lifelong dream. Now, she’s raising a beautiful toddler, and we still marvel at how quickly it all manifested.
The main message I want to share with potential clients and followers is this: If you have a desire, it’s meant for you—and life is always delivering either this or something better. Whether it’s through my daily vlogs, personalized content calendars, or clarity calls, my goal is to inspire and empower everyone I work with to step into their full potential.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One significant lesson I had to unlearn as a business owner was taking everything personally and treating everyone as close friends rather than professional acquaintances. This mindset had a profound impact on my business and personal life. It led to blurred boundaries and often resulted in emotional turmoil, especially in business partnerships. I found myself deeply affected by every minor setback or disagreement, and it made me question my own worth and decisions.
The turning point came a few summers ago when I experienced a major setback at one of my salons. As I experienced my first employee walk out, I realized that my tendency to over-share and over-trust, treating employees like close friends, had contributed to this situation. This event forced me to confront how my personal approach was affecting my professional relationships and overall business health.
Since then, I’ve adopted a new mindset and approach. I’ve learned to categorize people more appropriately as acquaintances or professional contacts rather than friends. This mindset shift has allowed me to detach from outcomes, maintain clearer boundaries, and hold myself and others accountable in a more balanced way. It’s provided me with greater grace and capacity to handle professional challenges and has improved my decision-making processes.
This change has been incredibly beneficial. It’s helped me create a more structured and introspective approach to both my business and personal beliefs, leading to more aligned choices and greater success in my endeavors.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My creative journey is driven by a fundamental mission to help women disconnect from societal standards and reconnect with their true selves. I believe that by stepping away from external expectations, individuals can discover their authentic voices and personal power.
The impact I aim to achieve through my work is twofold. First, I want to inspire others by showing them that they are not alone in their struggles and that they can build their confidence and trust their intuition. Second, I hope to instill mindfulness and a deeper sense of self-awareness within the masses.
On a personal level, what motivates me most is raising my daughter and breaking generational curses. As a single mother to an almost 10-year-old, it’s crucial for me to equip her with the tools for a conscious and happy life—tools I didn’t learn until my late 20s or early 30s. I want to ensure she has the wisdom and self-awareness to navigate life with confidence and clarity.
Looking ahead, my long-term vision includes speaking on stages, including manifesting my own Ted Talk, and collaborating with major companies to inspire their audiences. I aspire to become a best-selling author and to touch the lives of millions through my story, experiences, and unique perspective.
