Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Cassandra Spearman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Cassandra, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I started Tea Snob because I have PCOS, a hormonal disorder, and after being on three different medications without success, I wanted a natural alternative. That’s when I discovered the power of loose leaf herbal tea. I began blending teas to help with stress, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, inflammation, hormone balance, fertility, etc. Each blend represents what I needed on my wellness journey.
I knew I was onto something when I got my first menstrual cycle after a 2-year hiatus. There is something about the body and its ability to heal itself. However, we have to nourish it with the right nutrients.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My Name is Cassandra and I grew up in Bethel Park, a suburb 25 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. Steeler Nation!
As I mentioned before, I got into herbal tea for health reasons. Our conditions may be invisible, but we are not.
What sets Tea Snob apart from others?
I’m not just serving a cup of tea—I’m giving my customers permission to pause in the busyness of their day. Tea is a form of meditation. The practice of brewing tea is therapeutic. It helps you slow down, ease overwhelm, reduce stress, and be fully present.
It’s more than just tea—it’s a ritual, a moment to come back home to yourself, one breath, one sip, and one quiet moment at a time.

What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
I believe in the power of building genuine friendships and networking. Showing up and being present goes a long way in business, and for me, word of mouth is still king.
I love when a customer reaches out and says, You were recommended by this person or that person. That means my network is working for me in rooms I haven’t even been in yet.
