We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rehana Khan Patel. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rehana below.
Rehana, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
Our brand symbol is a Phoenix, rising from the ashes. Our brand’s mission is to create a Better Society, a Better World. While we aren’t looking to reinvent the wheel, we aim to harness the best of both worlds. We envision a future where modern technology and science coexist harmoniously with the timeless basics of early days.
Plant-powered ingredients have a profoundly positive impact on our overall health. In our fast-paced, fast-fashion society, we’ve unfortunately contributed to issues like land degradation, global warming, and microplastics in our bodies. By steadfastly adhering to our values and implementing them one step at a time, we believe we can achieve the best of both worlds.
We aspire to rise from the ashes like the phoenix, by following our brand pillars: Revolt, Rebuild, Rebirth.
Revolt! Revolt against the Mainstream. Refuse to settle for the low-quality ingredients used by corporate giants just to make a buck.
Rebuild. Rebuild a Better Society by accepting only what is good we will demand excellence from everyone!
Rebirth. Rebirth into a Better World. By bridging modern innovation with timeless wisdom, we can forge a path to a healthier, more sustainable future.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
When I fell in love with Hussain Ali, I moved from the Netherlands in Europe to Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. I tried out new and different skincare products, but all of them made my psoriasis and sensitive skin more irritated, red, flaky, and damaged. After a frustrating period of trying new skincare products without any success, research led to the conclusion that more than 1600 ingredients which are banned in EU & Canada are “allowed” in the US. I decided to start making my own skincare for myself and for my family, initially following DIY recipes for soap bars, lip balms and body butters. I quickly fell in love with the process of creating products, which led me to enroll in a soap-making course and a skincare formulation school. Now, all our recipes are meticulously formulated by me, backed by extensive ingredient research and a rigorous trial and testing period.

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?
Currently, I oversee the manufacturing of our products alongside my business partner and husband, with the support of one part-time employee. Initially, my venture began with the creation of DIY recipes. After several months in this phase, I sought to deepen my expertise in formulation. This quest for knowledge led me to enroll in Formula Botanica, an esteemed European online school, where I embarked on my journey in skincare formulation.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Our commitment to clean ingredient transparency. We follow our Clean Ingredients Integrity code. We ban skincare ingredients because In the pursuit of safe and effective skincare products, different institutions around the world have taken significant steps to protect consumers from harmful ingredients. Among these efforts, the European Union (EU) and Canada stand out for their stringent regulations regarding skincare and food ingredients. Both regions have established comprehensive lists of banned substances, with the EU famously prohibiting over 1,600 ingredients in cosmetics and personal care products. The decision to ban skincare ingredients comes from concerns over consumer safety and health. Many ingredients commonly found in cosmetics have been linked to negative effects ranging from skin irritation and allergies to more severe health issues such as hormone disruption and even cancer. The EU and Canada prioritize precautionary principles, aiming to prevent potential harm by restricting or prohibiting the use of these ingredients.
Many ingredients don’t make the cut with our products! We Prioritize Ingredient Transparency for the well-being of our customers. Our Essential Skincare Ingredients are the ingredients that we do use. These contain: Active Botanicals, Aromaceuticals, Butters, Clays, Hydrosols and Plant Oils.
