Alright, Violeta thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
Inspiration came from our gatherings as a family coming around the table and wanting others to experience our flavors. We wanted to present tacos in a way where they were elevated. In the world of cuisine Mexican food is most of the time under appreciated/undervalued and thought of as junk food here in the U.S.A. Mexican cuisine not only is one of the top cuisines in the world due to its diverse rich culture, ingredients, traditions, and techniques. It is considered a cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. In our Restaurant we wanted to bring honor to the most iconic dish Mexico has to offer, which is the TACO.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We are a partner ship of six. Ivan Garrido, Violeta Cortez, Geovanny Garrido, Yuley Beltran, Yenni Garrido, & Luis Hernandez. We have been working in the restaurant industry for over 17 years. We came to the conclusion we were more than capable to run our own restaurant. We decided to sell tacos in an elevated form with traditional flavors but with a modern presentation. In our menu we have a section dedicated to tacos de guisados such as Chile relleno taco, chicharron prensado, rajas taco, and birria. These are some items that has set us apart from the rest. We have also won a best of phoenix award for our tacos de guisado.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
what helped us create our reputation is the food it self. We believe that providing good food, good quality in a friendly clean environment is more that enough, to get guests to come back. All of as sudden our guest became regulars and brought their friends and neighbors. Nothing works better that word to mouth. We try to implement a memorable experience with each bite.
Any advice for managing a team?
Best advice to lead a team is to lead by example. In the world of business everyone wants high performers, we as leaders must be high performers as well that way we are capable to motivate and inspire the team to do the same,
