Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Vince Minniti. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Vince , thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

My most meaningful project has been my screenwriting. I find an unparalleled joy and excitement from being able to transmit my passion, emotions, thoughts and overall creativity onto the written medium. I’ve always liked writing short stories since as early as I can remember and although life can take you away from things you enjoy, it’s important to reconnect to that which you loved as a child.

Vince , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Right now I’m writing spec scripts, developing a feature and also a short comedy and networking with film industry professionals. Although I love social media content creation and my podcast (Vinny Presents) it all seems to compliment my desire to be a filmmaker. I’m excited at the prospect of returning to Hollywood some day in the near future with a feature deal.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

I believe that independent filmmakers need more access to the capital and distribution channels that seem to be tightly held by the established corporate entities. I think there’s an unbreakable will for creative men & women to tell their tales but are stifled. So many great stories should be filmed & distributed worldwide without the almost insurmountable challenges that are in place for the Indy filmmaker.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

My goal is to express my creativity and use filmmaking as a sort of catharsis to address the lingering and very strong emotions I have bottled up inside. I also want to touch people’s heart, excite their brains, enliven their souls.
