We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Trenton Valenzuela a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Trenton, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you’ve thought about whether to sign with an agent or manager?
In 2021, we secured a record deal with Godsize Records/Ingrooves to release our self-titled debut album. Our partnership with them has been great, as they assisted in organizing a tour last summer that took us across the United States alongside Ill Nino, Through Fire, and Dropout Kings. I believe that the collaboration between the label’s efforts and our own hard work has been mutually beneficial. As the band’s manager, I have successfully secured slots for us at some of the largest festivals in the United States, including the Blue Ridge Rock Festival and Upheaval Festival. Additionally, we had the incredible opportunity to perform as direct support for Godsmack this summer for Arizona Bike Week, which was a dream come true!

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I have always had a deep love for music; my passion for it began as early as I can remember and only grew stronger as I entered High School. Music became my top priority, and I dedicated myself to meeting friends and creating music in a garage until we felt ready to take the stage. For me, there was no other path – it was either pursue the band dream or nothing at all! I take immense pride in our journey and the growth we have experienced. Our bond with our fans is truly special, and we make every effort to stay connected with them. When fans reach out to us, we make it a priority to respond, you’re hearing directly from us, as it should be. They are the heartbeat of the machine, and we recognize that our achievements are not possible without their love and support. Currently, we are working on new songs that I believe represent a significant step forward. These tracks offer a fresh perspective on where we have been, but it’s taking us to a whole other level!

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
I find immense pleasure in connecting with fans and listening to their stories about the impact our music has had on their lives. Hearing about their personal journeys with the music and how it has touched them on a deep level is a pretty crazy thing. There’s no better drug on the planet than witnessing a crowd of people singing along to our music, with everyone fully immersed in the moment, it’s a beautiful experience.

Have you ever had to pivot?
There was a time when we were in discussions with Bellator MMA to have one of our songs serve as the promotion’s theme song. We were on the verge of finalizing the deal when it unexpectedly fell through, which was disappointing. However, in a twist of fate, the former commentator for the promotion connected us with an opportunity to be featured on an event on UFC Fight Pass. It felt like a full circle moment for us, now we need secure a spot on a Pay-Per-View or something similar. If any organizations such as AEW, UFC, WWE, etc., are in need of music, holler at your boys! Haha
