Hi Lisa, thanks for joining us today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Our mission is to make weddings more affordable. Being an experienced high end wedding planner I know how wedding costs can get out of hand. I also understand that not all couples can afford this. My goal is to create a more affordable market so all stylish couples can have a gorgeous wedding without breaking the bank. While we have a long way to go, we are starting our mission with brining more affordable wedding planning to the USA.

Lisa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My background is in more luxury weddings. I love creating custom experiences for couples and their guests and have been doing it for over a decade with Lisa London Events. It is exciting to see all of our long hours and had work come together. That WOW moment when everyone sees it all. A secet that I share with the couple that is finally revealed to their guests. I spend countless hours pouring my heart and soul into every detail and often become great friends with my clients and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
However, I was also constantly getting calls for couples at the other end who wanted a gorgeous, stunning wedding but were happy to do a lot of the hunting themselves, they just wanted professional guidance along the way. Even my vendors would tell me how difficult it was for them because the couples who couldn’t afford a planner, would be so unprepared. No floor plans, unrealistic timelines, no thought to meal counts or how severs know about allergies etc etc. These are all problems in our industry that effect the overall experience for the client. I don’t think everyone wants or can afford these big installs and high end weddings, some just want an amazing wedding with memories to last a lifetime, while still leaving a little in the bank for those other important items like a house deposit. While I am still enjoying life in the luxury market with my sister company, with Itheeplan, my mission is to help solidify that gap. To provide a more affordable planning experience, where we guide you and offer a little help from a friend (a professional friend that is).

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
Right now. While my luxury event business is still successful, I see times have changed in the wedding market and there is more of a division. People just can’t afford the high end prices anymore, so I am pivoting right now to allow for a service that meets the needs of couples without breaking the bank.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think the most important thing to creating a great business is reputation. It means everything to me. How you treat people, no matter who they are matters. Throughout my career as a wedding planner, I have always gone above and beyond for both my clients and my vendors. To create a great experience you need a great team.
