We were lucky to catch up with Kristen Halder recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kristen, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?

I never imagined that I would live through, let alone write about and share such a life-altering experience. 2018 forever changed my perspective on life and what happens after it. I’m hoping that through my story, I can inspire others to look deeper within themselves and open their minds to the possibility that the supernatural is a very real thing, and an element that surrounds us every day, whether we’re aware of it or not.

Kristen, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

As a child with psychic abilities, naturally I thought that everyone held the ability to see ghosts. Discovering that was not the case, I was led to believe that a connection with the supernatural world was something tangible only in fictional stories. My mind was changed yet again after experiencing an extraordinary haunting in 2018.
After watching a movie about a serial killer, odd occurrences began taking place in my home. Flickering lights, moving objects, and haunting dreams were only a few hints that contributed to my suspicion that the paranormal activity could be from him, the late serial killer that I had been reading about. This story will take you through my journey as I wrestle with the ghost’s tantalizing grip and my own skeptical mind. It is a perspective through my eyes as I ask myself: is the ghost of a serial killer worthy of my help into the light?
Through learning about the spirit around me, it awoke my own dormant psychic-medium abilities. After my journey with the restless spirit came to an emotional close, I spent a year writing “A Call From Purgatory”. Since its release in 2021, I have promoted the story on social media to see if it would gain any interest. Within the first year on TikTok, my followers climbed to 4K! I was surprised by how much love and positivity came from the viewers, as I expected the exact opposite with such a bizarre claim. I hope that my story will continue to move others as much as it has moved me.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

The most important element when building a social media presence is to be authentically you because it will be obvious when it does or doesn’t show. Walking your own path without trying to fit a mold is a lost art online. The first thing everyone jumps to is “How will people judge this?” You need to throw that out the window, take it from me. It’s much safer to follow everyone else’s model when you see that it gets a positive reaction, but it’s those who make their own mold that will stand out. When making a post, don’t make it “for the masses” make it for your target audience and who it is meant to find will appreciate it and stick around for more. Taking the pressure off of the post and having fun is what is going to attract people to you and give you more confidence. Essentially, having a small audience expectation leads to your desired outcome.
TikTok has been my biggest success out of all of the platforms so if you are trying to get your name out there, I would highly recommend downloading that app!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

It was a very strange battle of the mind, to live through something with my own two eyes on a day to day basis and still question if what was happening was real or not. There were so many times that I dismissed what I would see or hear because, “Of course this can’t be real, that’s too crazy to even consider.” Going through such an experience made me question my sanity and wellbeing. It was when my family and friends around me started noticing the same signs that I decided to look deeper into the situation. Before I wrote these incidences off as “coincidences” I decided to seek out not one but three psychic-mediums to see if they could confirm or deny the connection, which kickstarted this incredible journey. Mind-chatter is a powerful thing, and are what ultimately have the final say in what we pursue and don’t. If I let my doubtful thoughts get the better of me, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
