We recently connected with Harlow Christine and have shared our conversation below.

Harlow, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

Naming a business is always hard! I wanted something that was catchy, but memorable. CherryHill is the name of a street I once lived on. It matched the aesthetic I wanted and became my brand!

Harlow, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I design bags based on what the vision in my head is. I envision a bag and make it! I truly enjoy designing each bag. I took a break from bag making and designed patterns for a year under Pickle Pudding designs, which is my pattern company. While I enjoyed that, designing, and creating bags is my passion.

I began designing bags, 20 years ago as a creative outlet for my energy and a way to relax from a very demanding career in Escrow. It quickly became a brand I am incredibly proud of.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Consistency has been the most important factor in my growth. Over the years I have watched and read about companies that struggled to hit their own target, and the fallout as a result.

As a consumer, I am super impatient! So I used that to my advantage and always made sure I provided a quality product in a timely manner. Getting my items to my customers as quickly as possible has always been important to me.

I have always made sure to communicate efficiently and be transparent about time frames.

I also ensure that I have quality items in a wide range and price point so everyone can afford an item. My customers are amazing people and are so supportive.

I have had an amazing support system with my Brother, Sister in Law, Aunt and Uncle, as well as wonderful friends!

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.

Connecting with customers is so important. I created a VIP group where we can all talk, connect and have fun. I do live videos while I am creating bags in my group. I enjoy interacting with customers and creating bags for them.

I am blessed that my customers have become family!

Social media is such a great way to connect with people and nurture those relationships.
