If I had to choose who is my hero, I would probably say my mother. I know it’s a cliche thing to say your mother is your hero but this is a little different. She’s the most resilient person I know, it is because of her that I am compassionate, unbiased, and levelheaded. All of these qualities are required when starting a business, especially a business built on women empowerment. Although I posses these qualities that are deemed “good” I am also rebellious, which is something my mom demonstrated throughout my life. Tough question because I have many and they are displayed on the wall behind me in my office. I love to try and draw on their skills, dedication, perseverance, and insight in my daily life. But for your question, I will select Marcus Garvey and Mary McLeod Bethune.  Both were born around the same, Bethune in 1875 and Garvey in 1887, with the same spirit of perseverance and a fierce dedication to the people they were serving.
