We recently connected with Arianna Feliz and have shared our conversation below.
Arianna, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
I think in order to be successful you have to work hard and learn ways to grow your business. YouTube has a lot of helpful videos to learn skills from. For example, if you’re using a certain social media, watching videos can help you learn how to grow on that social media. Another thing you want to do is create products you love, because when you show these products that you love it’s easier for you to explain them and explain the benefits of it. Your customers will see your love for the product. Also, if you are wearing your products your customers will see you wearing them and like how it looks. They will be motivated to get the product because they like how it looks.

Arianna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Arianna and I am the owner of KW Bandanas. KW Bandanas is a pet accessories company. I sell dog bandanas that are patterned or have vinyl sayings, pet shirts, and human shirts. I am also in the process of having some new products tested to make sure they are durable, before being released. I created KW Bandanas for my two dogs Kacey and Watson. I love dressing them up, but I could not always find a certain pattern I was looking for so I learned how to sew with a sewing machine and started creating bandanas. I offer products with themes or sayings that have not been on pet products before. Our most recent collection was positivity and I had not seen encouraging bandanas for pets before. My favorite thing about KW Bandanas is seeing all the dogs and cats in their products!
We’d love to hear your thoughts about selling platforms like Amazon/Etsy vs selling on your own site.
I currently only sell on Etsy. I chose to use Etsy because they have a wide audience already in place. Using the right tags will help you reach your target audience. A pro about Etsy is customers are comfortable with their policies and they do not have to worry about scammers or security. Customers can also leave reviews so those that are interested can see the product in use or other colors that are available. The con about Etsy is the fees, it can be a lot for some businesses.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
When customers order from me I write a hand written note thanking them for their order. Many customers love receiving a hand written note. On Instagram I let my followers know what’s new coming to the business and keep them up-to-date with collection releases. Talking on stories lets customers get to know me.
