Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Teresa Greene. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Teresa, thanks for joining us today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I hope to be remembered for inspiring and encouraging others, whether that be in their spiritual, emotional, or goal achievements in life. I always want to be able to encourage others to work with their hands, love with their hearts and always keep the faith. Throughout my journey on social media and YouTube my first priority has always been to inspire and help others improve their quality of life through their talents and creativity. Crafting and being creative are great therapeutic tools, and I want others to know they are never alone. Through my videos, we share a special bond and connection. I’ve met so many wonderful people while starting my YouTube channel and feel very blessed to have this outlet to network with others, share experiences and grow relationships.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My husband and I started our Youtube channel as a homestead channel where we shared our experiences with gardening, farm life and DIY projects around our home. We started our channel as a hobby and as it grew, we grew! We self taught ourselves with technical skills, time management and learned so much as we went along. I started creating craft videos for the channel and they were very successful. Over time our knowledge, view following and income grew so my husband made the decision to turn his attention to opening his own outdoor channel and let me focus solely on the crafting, decor and DIY content. With over 100K subscribers now, my YouTube channel has provided us with a steady income, sponsorship opportunities, and many lasting friendships and relationships.”
Something that started out as a family hobby turned into a successful and fun career! So never give up on trying to achieve your dreams at any age!

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
We started out small and we are still somewhat small. I edit all my own content and create all my videos myself. I use an older model i-phone for all my video footage and have never used a designated camera or elaborate equipment. We have always been a very budget-friendly family, so the DIY lifestyle is true to our brand and simply how we live. We do not spend money on expensive equipment or pay staff to assist us. We keep our overhead low and actually enjoy having the flexibility and satisfaction of doing it ourselves.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I love to craft, DIY and create. I have always loved to create things of my own and see how I can give old things new life. Many items and furnishings in our home are thrifted makeovers. Even as a kid I would love to score a treasure from someone’s roadside trash! I love the satisfaction of making over a piece or working on a DIY project and knowing I did it myself. I am a very humble and simple person but also love nice things. Having nice things doesn’t have to cost a lot of money if you just get creative. My moto is “if there’s a will, there’s a way!
