Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Nichele Wells. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Nichele, appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
Success is different for everyone. Success is something you earn when you put in sustained effort. It is also a mindset you must adopt to accomplish your goals and growth. You must be committed to your goals, stay focused and be mentally strong. It’s also important to have realistic expectations for yourself and the outcome and adjust them when needed. Take small steps to success and celebrate the small victories. You will enjoy the journey more and learn what you’re capable of. Success doesn’t always mean reaching your own goals but can also include helping others succeed. Our most fulfilling achievements are often earned by helping others fulfill theirs. Helping others will not only improve you as a person, but it will also help you find the true meaning of success.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have over 17 years experience in recruitment, sales, relationship building, customer service and social media marketing. For many years, I have watched small businesses struggle because of the lack of knowledge of how to navigate marketing on Social Media platforms and the lack of time invested in promoting their business. I decided to use my recruitment, sales and marketing skills into podcasting and help promote small businesses. In 2019 I started my own podcast, Hitting The Streets. My initial goal was to share the happenings in our town. However, when Covid-19 hit I switched gears and decided to host a series of interviews with business owners, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations. My goal is to give the listeners an inside look at each guest’s organizations and discover these amazing gems we have in the North Texas area.
My services include social media marketing and promotions which helps generate a buzz and maximize exposure for small businesses. One of the most rewarding aspects of being a business owner is helping your clients succeed. Here are a couple of reviews:
We’ve been using Chele for helping get our name out for almost a year now at Texoma Services. We’ve nixed our other usual avenues of advertising, because she gets the job done. We’ve paid good money for radio ads, and never received any feedback from them, much less any calls. We KNOW we get referrals from Chele! We signed for another year of her services and couldn’t be happier. We would rather support SMALL businesses like hers! She has many different packages to choose from. Check her website out and give her a call!! – Aden and Debby Edwards, owner of Texoma Services
When Chele, with Hitting The Streets found me, I was a fledgling business (open for two months) and struggling to get my name out there. She not only became a client but offered to do a podcast for us! The podcast was a huge help because everyone got to know me and my story so I wasn’t a faceless shop owner. The clients started flooding in and we had to hire another groomer just to meet demand! I urge everyone to follow Hitting The Streets Podcast. Not only did it change my life and my business, but she has recommendations for everything from lunch to dog grooming! I especially urge anyone wanting to start a business to follow and contact Hitting The Streets. The business insights Chele provides are extremely valuable. – Robert Sertic, Owner of Sugar Pawz Doggy Spa
It has been an unpredictable journey with challenges and struggles that are part of life. However, adversities are opportunities for growth. Speaking honestly, I am proud of overcoming the adversities in my life and becoming the person I am today. I am incredibly grateful for my faith, family, friends, supporters and my accomplishments. What sets me apart from others is my passion, strong vibe, integrity and self expression.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
The road to resilience is challenging and stressful. However, it is one of the necessary life skills we must develop to be successful. Starting my podcast was one of the scariest things I have ever done. I was putting myself out in the public and my fear was “what if no one tunes in?”, “what if I fail?” I sat on my podcast idea for a while because I wanted it to be perfect and trying to be perfect stopped me from moving forward. That little voice inside me said “You can do this!” I took a leap of faith, and recorded my first episode. I made a deliberate decision to not let fear guide me but let faith lead the way. My attitude became, “If I have one listener, that is better than zero.” After I got the courage to start, COVID hit which created another challenge with interviews due to the shutdown. However, I managed to overcome this challenge by managing my interviews through zoom and over the phone. I had to adapt to situations that I could not control. Another challenge I faced was not having great equipment which made my recordings sound terrible. But one day out of the blue, someone who I had previously inspired, gifted me with new equipment. I cried because this individual saw the potential in me and wanted to make sure I would be successful. The last hurdle I continue to work on is editing. It’s a challenge for every episode but I don’t let it hold me back because it doesn’t have to be perfect. Things I have reflected on since I started is one, perfection is the enemy of progress, it holds you back from taking that first step. Do your best work and be confident. Number two, every time we overcome something that is difficult for us it builds our resilience a little bit more. Facing my fear of starting this podcast and stepping out of my comfort zone has built my confidence and my tenacity. Someone said to me “Act like you have been doing this for 20 years…” Best advice I could have ever received.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
The key to Social Media is time and consistency. You must make time and be consistent with your brand. Being consistent allows you to grow your engagement with your audience and reach more people. Keeping a consistent strategy helps build your brand, strengthen your credibility and trust.
