If I had to talk about my heroes, I would have to talk specifically about Paul McCartney and Robin Williams. As an entertainer/artist, these two work for me as a guiding light. Paul McCartney’s music, with its blend of melody, emotion, and lyrical depth, often serves as a beacon of hope and inspiration. His songs, whether from his time with The Beatles or his solo work, carry themes of love, resilience, and the pursuit of a better world. I had a pinch-me moment. “Let’s do it!” she said, “Let’s go into business together!” When someone looks you in the eyes and entrusts their livelihood with you, it’s overwhelming. Seven years ago, my hero asked to partner with me, to start our business, to imagine a future filled with optimism. I was doubly lucky because this person was also my sister.  For the previous twenty or so years, I watched my younger sister, Marcy Stoudt, become a corporate superstar, being named the first and youngest female vice president of a $3 billion company.  Read more>>

Heather Winkeljohn

My heroes are many. They are the special needs youth and teens in my program. It’s also the families that raise them. I have learned that these youth with special needs and challenges are some of the most resilient and motivated people on this earth. I am a mother to a 24 year old daughter who suffered birth trauma. The injury resulted in a massive stroke, leaving her with hemiplegia (a form of Cerebral Palsy). I spent years feeling frustrated and alone as a parent trying to navigate the never ending struggles that we face as special needs parents. I saw my daughter flourish and gain strength, self control and confidence, as she grew up and participated, in a our family, MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) gym, classes. Read more>>
