We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Tim Diamond a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Tim, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
As a husband to my wife of nearly 9 years and father to a beautiful daughter, with a son on the way, I strive to be the role model for them that I always wanted for myself. Family is my number one priority, and treating customers like family is the foundation of the SD Home Team. Selling or buying a home can be an extremely stressful process, but my goal is to simplify that process for my clients by being there as their agent every step of the way to keep things fully transparent and as seamless as possible.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
Having lived in San Diego for over 40 years, I know all of the best schools, restaurants, neighborhoods, things to do and hidden gems. I decided to get into Real Estate because I have a passion for helping others, and what better way to do that than to help clients find their forever home or start the next chapter in their lives. What sets me apart is my dedication to making real estate transactions as seamless as possible for my clients and making sure I am available for my clients whenever they need me. I have also put together a team of experts that help create tailored marketing strategies for each of my clients to ensure that we get the most eyes on a property and are the first to know when new listings pop up. As a Compass agent, I am given access to all private listings that are not open to the public which means we see exclusive homes before anyone else and on the listing side, you can sell your property with complete privacy.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
An extremely valuable source that has helped me grow my business as well as gain new clients has been my partnership with the San Diego Padres over the past three years. (Update here too to focus on the client benefit versus how it elevated Tim) I still have season tickets to send my clients too and in some occasions, join them. We can all agree that whether we are true baseball fan or not, Padres games are always a great time and what better way to get to know my clients! Outside of the Padres partnership, being present on social media has made a huge impact and is where you can see who I truly am. Yes, I post about work but, more importantly, I love to show off my personal side on social media platforms for people to get to know who I truly am. And I believe by showing my personal side, I am gaining a better sense of trust and fluidness with my clients. After all, I am a family man first.
How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
I just began farming my neighborhood in Encinitas actually! It has been a lot of fun. We have started small with friendly neighborhood contests and mailers for the holiday’s but we plan to go bigger this year with events for the entire family to enjoy. On top of farming, I just began reaching out to current and past clients when big events pass such as a wedding anniversary, birthday, move-in anniversary, etc. and it has been lots of fun as well as rewarding. We are all humans at the end of the day and everyone can agree that it’s the little moments in life that make the bigger picture.
