Edson , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?

The story of how I chose my brand name wasn’t so hard. I chose my brand that was already part of my life. Money Tree Family aka is my brand . My uncle Bobby and his friends came up with it years ago. I want to use it as a legacy. The meaning of the name is starting from the bottom but working together to be successful as a family. A quote that I live by is , “Money ain’t nothing without family.”

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My most proud moments of owning brand I have a few . One is all the people I connect with because of my brand such as Kripsy Life, Cash Kidd, Babyface Ray , and so many more rappers. The feeling you get when you profit from your passion is like no other. It’s shows people see your vision as much as you do. Everyday I get a dm or text saying , “Keep going I love your work or you inspired me to start my own brand.” The little accomplishments matter as much as the big ones.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?

When starting business the main thing people need is capital. Before you be a boss you have to be a worker. So, people who want to be a boss have to find a way to get steady income. You get this steady income by working 9-5. While working a 9-5 stack some money to fund your business. Then when you start business from the money you can use profit from the business to keep it going.

How did you build your audience on social media?

I built my social media audience by posting content. When I first started posting the content it wasn’t my best because I was taking pictures off my phone. But, when I started taking with a camera and making reels my whole platform changed. The better the content more engagement you get. Be creative and think outside the box.
