We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Victoria Richardson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Victoria, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
The idea for my creative services business didn’t just appear one day—it’s been growing inside me ever since I was a child. Writing has always been my way of making sense of the world, my escape, and my way to connect with others. I remember being that young kid who scribbled stories and poems in notebooks, dreaming of a day when I could make a career out of this passion.
As I got older, that dream never faded. In fact, it grew stronger. I realized that writing wasn’t just something I loved—it was something I was meant to do. I noticed how my words had the power to move people, to inspire them, and even to help them see the world a little differently. That realization lit a fire inside me. I knew I had to find a way to share my voice on a larger scale, to make my mark.
The decision to turn my passion into a business came from a place of both logic and emotion. I knew deep down that my writing had the potential to reach others in a meaningful way, and I was determined to make it happen. I’ve always been a determined person, and once I set my mind to something, I don’t stop until I see it through.
There was also a practicality to it. I understood that in order to succeed, I needed to offer something unique, something that would resonate with people. And what could be more unique than my own voice, my own perspective? That’s what led me to launch my creative services business called Richardson Publishing Company, where i could focus on helping others tell their stories, whether through writing, ghostwriting, or creative consulting.
I felt confident I could succeed because I’m not just doing this for myself—I’m doing it for everyone who reads my work, who sees themselves in my words, and who finds comfort or inspiration in what I create. That’s what drives me. The impact my work has on others is what fuels my passion and determination to make this business a success.

Allow me to reintroduce myself—my name is Victoria Richardson, and I’m the CEO of Richardson Publishing Company, based in Jackson, Alabama. My journey into the world of writing and entrepreneurship began when I was just eight years old. From the moment I could pick up a pen, I’ve been crafting stories, poems, and ideas, always driven by the belief that words have the power to shape and change the world.
Over the years, my passion for writing has evolved into a multifaceted career. Today, I’m proud to wear many hats: author, poet, web designer, publisher, editor, computer technician, business owner, entrepreneur, marketing consultant, marketing agent, graphic designer, and photographer. Each of these roles represents a different aspect of my creativity and my commitment to helping others tell their stories and build their brands.
As an author, I’m particularly proud of my poetry book, The Butterfly Effect, and I’m excited to share that my upcoming novel, Pretty Dried Flowers, is set to be released this fall. These works are a testament to my love for storytelling and my belief in the transformative power of literature.
I founded Richardson Publishing Company because I believe in the power of writing and creativity to make a difference. My services range from writing and editing to full-scale web design, marketing strategies, and brand development. I work closely with clients to help them articulate their vision—whether through a beautifully crafted book, a sleek and functional website, or a marketing campaign that truly resonates with their audience.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is the pure joy of writing and the fulfillment that comes from helping others achieve their writing goals. There’s something incredibly satisfying about putting words together in a way that captures an emotion, tells a story, or conveys an idea that resonates with others. It’s a deeply personal process, but it’s also a way to connect with people on a universal level.
Beyond my own writing, the real reward comes from being able to support others on their creative journeys. Whether I’m helping someone refine their story, develop their brand, or bring their vision to life, knowing that I’ve played a part in their success is truly fulfilling. Seeing my clients reach their goals and watching their excitement as their projects come together is what makes this work so meaningful to me. It’s about more than just creating—it’s about making an impact and helping others realize their dreams.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Absolutely, there is a clear goal driving my creative journey, and that is to continually grow and succeed so I can offer even more services to my clients. My mission is not only to excel in the various creative and technical fields I’m already involved in but also to expand my expertise and provide a wider range of high-quality services.
I’m driven by the desire to be a one-stop solution for my clients, whether they need help with writing, design, marketing, or any other aspect of building their brand or telling their story. Every step I take in my journey is geared toward refining my skills, learning new ones, and ultimately enhancing what I can offer to those who trust me with their creative needs.
