Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Olivia Madison Dalton. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Olivia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with education – we’d love to hear your thoughts about how we can better prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career.
I feel so blessed to be able to share my story and education background to help schools and educators possibly make a bigger positive impact on their students- in this ever changing world one thing remains the same- young individuals thrive off of positive praise and a safe environment. I was homeschooled for my life growing up and very fortunate to actually be a small majority of homeschool children that used physical text books and no online curriculums. My mom was my teacher for school along with being the Sunday school teacher for our youth group at church growing up.
Being in such a safe environment while my adolescent brain was still forming It’s way of thinking played a very pivotal role in seeking success in my adult life and also how I would face adversity and objections. The question ‘What would I change about the education system to prepare students for a more fulfilling life and career?’ To me it’s simple- I would make ‘Self Talk’ & ‘How to Have a Winner’s Mindset’ a mandatory curriculum for all grades. Often in public schools and even private schools we are taught the answers to state tests and not the real life skills that are necessary for succeeding in life and especially business; and that can really take a toll on young adults when they’re starting out life after graduation.
The Self Talk’ & ‘How to Have a Winner’s Mindset’ class would have the following subjects included:
Understanding Self-Talk:
– Definition and types (positive vs. negative self-talk).
– How self-talk impacts emotions and behavior
– Recognizing negative self-talk patterns and how it will affect business.
The Psychology of a Winner’s Mindset:
– Traits of successful individuals and how mindset plays a role.
– Growth mindset vs. fixed mindset.
– The importance of resilience and perseverance.
Building and Maintaining a Winner’s Mindset:
– Setting and achieving goals with a positive outlook.
– Visualization and mental rehearsal techniques.
– Embracing challenges as opportunities for growth.
Overcoming Obstacles:
– Common mindset barriers and how to address them.
– Strategies for overcoming self-doubt and fear of failure.
– Real-life examples and case studies of individuals who transformed their mindset.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I was very fortunate to fall in love with a new role in an industry I was already involved in. I’m certain being a blogger and influencer in Cincinnati, Ohio gave me an extreme upper hand when it came time to dominate the social media management industry. I already had the trust and reputation built in my city with business owners & I was already being invited to big events; so it was a perfect mix for success.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Remaining consistent is a vital part in any success story. Human beings tend to be great starters; however not great finishers. I genuinely planted my flag with this industry and even in tough times I knew to remain consistent and the clients would come. Even in the dullest months when things felt hopeless- clocking in to build someone else’s company and dreams was never going to be the answer for me. Doing the right things and treating people (and their business) with respect goes a long way. Believe it or not, only a small handful of clients came from our own outreach and prospecting. Most of Madison Media Agency’s clientele comes from word of mouth referrals and clients talking about their positive experience with us.
