Today we’d like to introduce you to Nari Kaur
Hi Nari, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am Nari, an Empowerment, Wellness, and Leadership Coach with an MBA and expertise in Master NLP, Wellness, and Lifestyle Coaching. With two decades of experience in significant roles within the Aerospace, Marine Defence, and Rail Industries, I bring a wealth of knowledge and global cultural insights into human behavior and the nuances of soft skills essential for personal and professional growth.
My journey to becoming an Empowerment, Wellness, and Leadership Coach began with my upbringing in a predominantly patriarchal home. Despite receiving abundant love and support, I faced predefined gender roles, which fueled my passion for breaking gender stereotypes. My mother, a nurturing figure, and my father, an ambitious entrepreneur with multiple successful businesses, shaped my strong work ethic. As a fun-loving and confident child, I thrived on pushing boundaries and expanding my comfort zone in sports, arts, and academics.
The work ethic, discipline, reliability, and consistency I observed in my parents during childhood laid the foundation for my professional values. They instilled these virtues in me, which have been instrumental in my career.
I now run an Empowerment, Wellness, and Leadership Coaching business focused on personal development. With over 15 years of experience coaching both women and men, I specialize in areas such as personal development, goal setting, mindset motivation, building high self-esteem, mindfulness, wellness, peak performance, productivity, and purpose. My mission is to help clients elevate their lives based on their unique needs by utilizing mindset work to shift their belief systems, enabling them to achieve their goals. Additionally, I work with specific personality traits like introversion and neurodivergent characteristics, helping individuals develop their unique skill sets to maximize their chances of success.
My coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that personal growth and empowerment are attainable for everyone, and I am dedicated to guiding my clients on their journeys to achieving their fullest potential.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! The struggles have been evident and very real. Transitioning from full-time work to managing my own business was not an easy move. For a significant period, I juggled both my corporate career and my coaching business. While I cherished the heights I achieved in my corporate career, I also realized there was more I wanted to do—to give back and add value to people’s lives through my own experiences and knowledge.
Balancing these dual responsibilities required immense dedication and resilience. My motivation to keep pushing despite the challenges stemmed from a commitment to stay true to myself and honor my efforts and hard work. As a high achiever, I know the importance of dedicating time and resources to my goals. Whenever I felt overwhelmed by struggles, I would quickly refresh my vision and revert to my default pattern of hard work and resilience.
I’ve learned to see obstacles as a natural part of the journey rather than as failures. This mindset has helped me extract valuable lessons from each challenge and grow even further as a result. It’s been a constant balancing act of maintaining my professional identity while nurturing my passion for coaching and personal development.
Some relatable struggles I faced included time management, maintaining work-life balance, and the pressure of meeting high expectations—both my own and those of others. Like many entrepreneurs, I had to navigate financial uncertainties, build a client base from scratch, and continuously adapt to the evolving needs of my clients. These experiences have not only strengthened my resolve but also deepened my empathy and understanding of the challenges my clients face, allowing me to support them more effectively on their journeys.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I run an Empowerment, Wellness, and Leadership Coaching business that focuses on personal development at its core. With over 15 years of experience coaching both women and men, I specialize in areas such as personal development, goal setting, mindset motivation, building high self-esteem, mindfulness and wellness, peak performance, productivity, and purpose. I help individuals develop the soft skills necessary to excel in both professional and personal capacities. My mission is to assist clients in elevating their lives based on their unique needs by utilizing mindset work to shift their belief systems, propelling them toward achieving their goals. I also work with specific personality traits like introversion and neurodivergent characteristics, helping individuals harness their unique skill sets to maximize their chances of success.
I am also the founder and host of the “Ladies Who Lead” podcast, a key platform for spreading knowledge about empowerment. Designed to inspire women to take the lead in their own lives, the podcast provides guidance on self-esteem, resilience, assertiveness, balancing the divine feminine and masculine, lifestyle coaching, emotional intelligence, taming the inner critic, peak performance coaching, and an array of other interpersonal skills for success.
SkyHigh Coaching helps individuals self-actualize their skills and abilities, fulfilling their potential in various fields. As I often say, “We see many examples of people, regardless of how qualified they may be, holding themselves back from envisioning new heights and unfamiliar territory aligned with maximizing their potential. For instance, excelling in their career by pursuing a well-deserved promotion or starting a purpose-led business. Often, what is missing are the interpersonal skills that will help them achieve greater heights in their careers and lives.” This is where SkyHigh Coaching comes in, assisting individuals in all areas of personal development, building confidence, improving emotional intelligence, and combating imposter syndrome, to name but a few.
I thrive on pushing professionals out of their comfort zones, encouraging them to confront their fears and embrace growth opportunities. By expanding their awareness and acquiring new skills, my clients embark on a journey of continuous personal and professional development.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
I want readers to know that the key to achieving the success they desire is as simple as believing they deserve it. Limiting beliefs are the number one factor that keep people stuck in mediocrity. Once these layers of limitation are lifted, individuals automatically develop the motivation to be creative with their unique strengths and skills. Self-actualization is accessible to anyone who seeks it.
Looking back, one crucial piece of advice I wish I had known when starting out is the importance of embracing a growth mindset. As you learn and achieve more, you realize there is always more to discover and accomplish. My perspective on motivation and creating impact has evolved to one of continuous growth. From my experience, one opportunity leads to another, and the more you step out of your comfort zone, the more confident you become. With the right mental attitude, your abilities and potential are limitless.
It’s important to remember that setbacks and challenges are natural parts of the journey. Rather than seeing them as failures, view them as opportunities to learn and grow. Surround yourself with a supportive network, seek mentorship, and never hesitate to invest in your personal development. The more you invest in yourself, the more equipped you’ll be to overcome obstacles and seize new opportunities.
Additionally, focus on building a strong foundation of soft skills such as communication, emotional intelligence, and resilience. These skills are essential for navigating both personal and professional landscapes. Don’t be afraid to ask for help, collaborate with others, and stay curious.
Lastly, be patient and persistent. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but with consistent effort, belief in yourself, and a willingness to adapt and learn, you will make progress. Your journey is unique, and every step you take brings you closer to realizing your full potential.
