Today we’d like to introduce you to Dwight Smith-murchison

Hi Dwight, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.

I got started in the business about four years ago, going to concerts and hanging out with folks behind the scenes. I made friends with these people and learned from them. My first tour experience was on a popular 2000s tour, where I traveled from city to city on my own dime trying to prove myself and building relationships within that tour’s Organization .Now this is not your traditional way of touring. I did what I felt I needed to do to foster a relationship. I have since gone on to outgrow some of those relationships I was chasing .But that’s the blessing with my story. I was always willing to learn and grow. To this day I have not Toured with an Artist in an official capacity. I hope one day to do so.

The relationships I was able to foster led me to opportunities in Asia, where I’ve been part of several live events within the continent. My most recent and biggest show in that Market being with Maroon 5 for two sold out shows in Korea . Back home to the USA, I’ve been able to fill my passion and love of Hip Hop & R&B. To produce shows with artists like The Isley Brothers, SWV, Lil Wayne, Ari Lennox and more were all beyond my imagination . It’s been a journey of dedication, faith, and perseverance. I’ve had to overcome a lot of challenges. I am just starting to see the fruits of my labor, and I’m excited for what the future holds.
I’m grateful for the journey.It’s been a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m excited to see what the future holds.I am just grateful to be here and do what I love and what I am passionate about.My story is still being written as I continue to grow. There are so many situations in the works and I can’t wait to share them with my supporters and audience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

This journey has been nothing short of challenging. It’s been a rollercoaster ride, filled with valuable lessons that have shaped me into the person I am today. The path to success has been fraught with obstacles, from being underpaid or not paid at all, to facing people who failed to recognize the potential and value that myself and my company had to offer. The music industry can be a cutthroat and unforgiving environment, where people’s true intentions are often masked by a facade of professionalism. I’ve encountered individuals who have engaged in dishonest business practices, leading to mental anguish and frustration.But I am in a place and Have been in the space of positivity for a while now. Everyday is a blessing to be alive.

Amidst the adversity, I’ve discovered that genuine people are few and far between in this industry. It’s a disheartening realization that many people will only support you if it benefits them or if you have something to offer them in return. Finding individuals who are genuinely invested in your success and well-being can be like searching for a needle in a haystack.

However, through it all, I’ve learned the importance of remaining 10 toes down in my faith. It has been my anchor, providing me with the strength and resilience to navigate the storms and tribulations that have come my way. I’m fortunate to have a solid foundation and support system around me, and a network of individuals who I can lean on during trying times. Their unwavering belief in me and my abilities has been a constant source of encouragement.

In most cases, agencies fulfill requests by providing the necessary details and requirements, after which the process becomes largely hands-off. However, my company distinguishes itself by taking a more involved approach. I personally oversee every aspect of the event process—from budgets and marketing to staging, production, and ticket sales. I am fully engaged at every stage to ensure the success of all parties involved. I take great pride in the fact that anyone who has worked with me can attest to my commitment to going the extra mile. We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?

To me, success is the achievement of a goal or the realization of a desired outcome. It involves fulfilling a personal aspiration or advancing to the next level in any endeavor. Throughout my journey, I have always sought opportunities to push forward and prove myself, and I am fortunate to have broken through barriers and accomplished what I set out to do.

While some may define success in terms of material possessions, such as having a nice car or other luxuries, I believe true success lies in the ability to live, breathe, and seize the opportunity to improve every day. The continuous pursuit of growth and the chance to better oneself are, in my view, the ultimate measures of success.
