We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Raeesa Jadael a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Raeesa, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you manage your own social media?
The need to thrive on social media is something that has touched almost every industry to today’s society. I currently manage my own social media but do see the need to soon start bringing in a team to help out. Social media has given our company the opportunity to share our majestic breed with groups of people that we would never have interacted with otherwise. It gives us the opportunity to educate about our breed, showcase our dogs and puppies as well as allows us to interact with others who are passionate about Cane Corso. In starting off a business it has always been so important that our messaging and passion showcases through however I am aware that as with all things we are better when working together than doing it all on our own. Having a team would allow me to gain fresh insight, free up time for training, and stay on top of trends.
Raeesa, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
High Society Cane Corso is a family-owned Cane Corso breeding program located in the DFW area. We focus on raising well-rounded dogs as well as breeding puppies with a focus on health, temperament & structure. Our story into how we got into the Cane Corso breed is kind of a wild ride. After turning down service from an HVAC company the technician of the company began to stalk our family. He called over 250 times, threatened to come to our home, threatened harm to our family as well as tracked down other family members of ours to do the same to them. My husband during this time was an in home sales consultant who would be away from the home for many hours during the day , leaving myself and our newborn son home alone. We had previously done a lot of research about getting a guardian breed dog but this situation was the final push we needed.
We are most proud of how much progress our program has madeIt is fulfilling knowing that you are bringing something into families lives that brings them happiness. We want our clients to know that we are dedicating to producing the best pups and also care for our dogs with much love as they are a part of our family. We are excited about the future and watching our program grow. We are about to introduce another sector of our business which will be centered around Frenchies. We are almost at 80k followers on TikTok and over 1k subscribers on Youtube.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building our audience on social media was no easy task especially after our first instagram was deleted at 5000 followers. The best advice I have when starting any business/social media it to know your target market and build everything ( logo , aesthetic) around that. The target market will guide you in all aspects of what content you need to create, what your logos should look like, what messaging you need to push on social media. Also , stay consistent it honestly took us a full year of posting everyday before we gained any traction on social media.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
I think what has set us apart is being accessible and truly focusing on clientele experience. So many other breeders are very quick to prequalify whether or not they think someone can afford their pups. If they do not perceive that you do, they do not even bother to respond. For us, when someone has a question no matter who they are or even if they plan on getting a dog from us or somewhere else I dedicate my time and attention to each and every person. I truly value each person that reaches out to us with an inquiry. I try to respond as soon as possible, I am always accessible for pup buyers when they need anything.
