We were lucky to catch up with Dr. Tiffany Purnell recently and have shared our conversation below.

Dr. Tiffany, appreciate you joining us today. The first dollar your firm earns is always special. We’d love to hear about how you got your first client that wasn’t a friend or family.

I received my real estate license in October of 2021. After receiving my license, I wanted to get started selling homes. One of my Facebook friends posted a home that was for sale by owner. I contacted the owner of the home and set up a listing presentation. The owner of the home hired me to sell his home. He was my first client, and I was grateful.

Dr. Tiffany, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Growing up, I went to numerous open houses and home shows with my parents. They also loved visiting affluent neighborhoods to see the design trends. In 1999, my parents built their dream home and we visited Home Depot and Lowe’s practically everyday. I guess you can say I was raised to appreciate the beauty and design of homes.
In 2021, I remembered my desire to be a real estate agent and I went for it. I became licensed in the state of Tennessee in October 2021. Ever since then I have helped several clients find their dream homes and sell their homes. I can honestly say my clients become my friends.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

Referrals
I can say more than 70% of my business is ran off of referrals. I receive referrals from friends, family members, and other real estate agents. Referrals is a free way for real estate agents to receive leads who are ready to take action to buy or sell a home.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?

My loyalty to my clients does not end after the closing day. After each closing, I maintain contact with my clients and I continue to offer them resources that may be helpful to them.
