We recently connected with Christopher Robles and have shared our conversation below.
Christopher , appreciate you joining us today. Do you wish you had waited to pursue your creative career or do you wish you had started sooner?
If given the opportunity to revisit the start of my creative career, I would definitely do it. I began my creative journey in 2013, a period when I was literally still a kid at the age of 13. Writing a ton of poems, listening to so many artist and doing a ton of reading, I fell in love with music whole heartedly.
Starting when I did provided a solid foundation of learning and growth. It allowed me to develop fundamental skills, build relationships, and gain valuable experiences that shaped my creative perspective. The timing aligned well with my personal and professional development, allowing me to explore different sounds and practice my craft without the pressure of immediate success since I was so young.
Starting sooner might have accelerated my learning curve and potentially opened doors earlier in my career. I could have navigated through challenges sooner and potentially reached milestones earlier. On the other hand, starting later might have provided a more mature perspective and a clearer sense of direction, possibly avoiding certain pitfalls due to increased comparison, rather then just having fun and being a stupid kid.
Honestly looking back, I appreciate the timing of my creative beginnings. It allowed me to grow organically, practice my skills while enjoying the opportunities and challenges that came my way, with no pressure.

Christopher , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Well i’m Chris or differentchris, i’ve been making music for a couple years now! I’ve been writing ever since I was a baby, either small poems or funny little stories I would do.
I knew I always wanted to do music, I just fell in love with the ideas of how music is even made. All the layering, structuring, writing, and etc. It’s just so fun to deep dive into all that stuff.
I would always come home from school and do these games where I have to tell myself If I don’t write this song I won’t be able to go out with friends or play games and etc. I was super strict with the idea that I need to finish songs in one sitting and if I feel it in the moment I have to finish.
I just know as time goes on and I experiment with my sound and find out what genre I want to truly sound like it’ll be amazing. But at the moment i’m
okay with experimenting and enjoying what I like to listen to and bringing it to life in my own way!
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
The importance of working with others, this is a game changer. Where you can get opinions and support from different spots you didn’t know you need it from!
Like photographers, producers, artist and etc, I just wish I took time to talk to more people, i’m just super shy.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
Im obsessed with studying and watching different artist. Anywhere from interviews and shows and fan made biographies etc.
I think watching a ton of videos of who I desire to be or who I look up to really changes how I think. Makes me see more in their habits and see what I should do more of or less of. It’s just something I do with every artist that I enjoy to listen, I know so many fun small facts about everyone.
