Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Miracle Sims. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Miracle, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you tell us about a time that your work has been misunderstood? Why do you think it happened and did any interesting insights emerge from the experience?
As a Renaissance woman, I’ve often faced misunderstandings about my diverse range of interests and pursuits. People frequently try to put me in a box or suggest that I need to focus on just one thing. This has happened numerous times, whether in conversations with friends and family or in professional settings. They see my involvement in multiple projects—like posting daily on YouTube, working part-time, managing side hustles, and running various creative ventures—and assume that it’s impossible to manage or that I’m not being serious about any single endeavor.
Why It Happened/Narrow Perceptions: Many people have a narrow view of success and productivity, believing that one must focus on a single path to be effective or recognized.
Lack of Understanding: They might not fully understand the concept of a Renaissance woman or the fulfillment that comes from engaging in multiple passions.
Conventional Wisdom: Traditional advice often emphasizes specialization, which clashes with the multifaceted approach of a Renaissance individual.
Interesting Learnings and Insights:
Embrace Your Identity:
I’ve learned to embrace and celebrate my identity as a Renaissance woman. It’s important to acknowledge that being multifaceted is a strength, not a weakness.
Clear Communication:
Clearly communicating the value and purpose of my various endeavors has helped others understand my vision better. Sharing my journey and the interconnectedness of my projects can enlighten those who don’t initially get it.
Finding Like-Minded Individuals:
Connecting with other Renaissance individuals or those who appreciate a diverse skill set has been crucial. They offer support, encouragement, and validation that’s essential for thriving in a multi-passionate lifestyle.
Prioritization and Balance:
While I engage in multiple endeavors, I’ve learned the importance of prioritization and balance. Knowing when to focus intensely on one project and when to juggle several tasks has helped maintain productivity and satisfaction.
Educating Others:
Taking the time to educate others about the Renaissance woman concept and how it contributes to personal and professional growth can shift their perspectives. It’s about showing that diverse interests can lead to innovative solutions and enriched experiences.
Through these experiences, I’ve grown more confident in my path. It’s an honor to use all my gifts, and I see it as a unique advantage. The challenges have only strengthened my resolve to continue exploring and excelling in multiple areas. Being a Renaissance woman is about breaking the mold, and I’m proud to embody that spirit.
Miracle, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My faith and dedication to excellence drive everything I do, ensuring that my clients and followers receive the best of my abilities.
I cherish the connections I make with my audience, valuing their support and striving to uplift and inspire them continuously.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
A significant lesson I had to unlearn was the tendency to belittle my achievements because they didn’t align with conventional markers of success. For years, I struggled with the belief that if my accomplishments didn’t fit a mainstream mold or garner widespread recognition, they were less valuable.
The backstory is rooted in my journey as a performer and entrepreneur. I have had the privilege of performing professionally, starting my own business, and working for myself while contributing to various fields. Despite these accomplishments, I found myself constantly comparing my path to others who had mainstream success and accolades.
It was a transformative moment when I realized that my worth and success are not defined by external validation but by my alignment with my purpose. Performing for a living, running a business, and using my talents for over a decade are significant achievements in their own right.
Understanding that my calling is to serve a greater purpose and that only what I do for God will last has shifted my perspective.
Now, I’m at peace with where I am and what I’m doing. I may not have the recognition or opportunities others have, and I may never fully know or understand the impact I’m making. But I am okay with that.
This shift in mindset has allowed me to value my journey, regardless of other peoples opinions.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
One aspect of my journey as a creative that non-creatives might struggle to understand is the often hidden and challenging reality of the entertainment industry. Over the years, I’ve observed that many people have a limited perspective on what happens behind the scenes. Since 2020, I’ve learned that there are certainly darker aspects of mainstream media that might horrify many. Thankfully, by the grace of God, I haven’t personally experienced the severe horrors some rumors suggest, such as human trafficking or satanic rituals.
However, I have had the opportunity to speak with a human trafficking survivor, Ally, on my YouTube channel. I’ve dedicated a playlist to our conversations with her and her adoptive mother to shed light on these serious issues. You can learn more about Ally’s work and advocacy at AllysArmy.com.
Additionally, I’ve witnessed that many actors in independent productions often aren’t paid, which contrasts with the glamorous image of the industry. To highlight some of these realities, my film partner Kelvin Carter and I created The Cast (thecastmovie.com), a mockumentary that provides a behind-the-scenes look at one aspect of the entertainment world. Writing and sharing this film was a cathartic experience, allowing me to laugh at some of the non-laughable situations I encountered over the years.
Overall, I want people to understand that the entertainment industry is far more complex and often less glamorous than it appears. What I’ve experienced is nothing compared to the lengths some people go to achieve high-profile opportunities. As the Bible verse says, “What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul?” This perspective reminds me of the importance of staying true to one’s values and integrity, despite the challenges and misconceptions surrounding the industry.
