We were lucky to catch up with Nita K recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nita, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Targeting people who are just starting their acting/music/film career and/or have past experience and need guidance on how to bring their career back to life.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Nita K, born and raised in Chicago. My mom & family always put me into performing arts classes called the Love Drops or put me into something along those lines. Once I got to high school, I joined the band shortly, but I was really into playing the voila. I knew right then it was my calling as far as entertainment . I did 3 years of radio/tv broadcasting and then once I got to college I knew what my dream was and I knew exactly how to tackle it. Music has always been in my family and I have some heavy hitters in my family…R.I.H Uncle Derrick Bell. So once I went to University of Phoenix and I got my accounting degree so I wouldn’t have to pay someone to run the finances for me. I am a background actress and I started in 2018. I’ve been on Empire, 61st Street, The Chi, SouthSide, and a movie called We Grown Now. I’ve done it for about 6 years. At about my 4th year, I started helping others to start and/or finish their career in entertainment. Then I went to Full Sail University to obtain my Film/Video degree. Right before I graduated I drew out my plan for my business and took it from there. I started off with only two clients and it turned into 10+ people. We have 4 Brand Ambassadors and two Assistant Directors. We have 6 projects which one is completed and two of the projects are currently being filmed. We offer a number of different services such as marketing & branding merchandise, SFX makeup, classes, we have for the artists: B.E.C, and etc. We are looking to expand and add more people on to these projects. Good, solid, reliable people only. We have a ton of resources as well. Our goal and plan is in motion and we need all creative hands on deck.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my audience on social media by consistently marketing and branding my own company with one of my other companies. I promoted heavily and included other creatives in promoting. I also posted a ton of content and included detailed information about the services we offer.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy is social media & hosting events for word of mouth marketing. Social media has increased the audience of my business.
