Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Caren Cooper. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Caren, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
ok backstory– I started a side hustle way back in 2015 while I was still working in corporate. In 2020 I was freelancing and the project I was working on was dying a slow death. I was not sure I wanted to look for a job again having experienced ageism and difficult time finding the freelance position. My Contract end date was 3/31/2020. We all know what happened 2 weeks prior. So really the pandemic gave me permission to become an entrepreneur full time. But I soon found out that going from employee to entrepreneur presented it’s own challenges. And so I sought out deeper work which I found in my mentor Tracy Litt. I was so transformed by her deep inner work that I knew I had to teach it myself and help others. And that is what I do know as a Corporate Trauma Recovery and MIndset Coach, All this happened in my late 40’s- early 50’s. As of this writing I am 55.
So to answer the question- I couldn’t have started earlier, and no I wouldn’t change anything I needed to go through all the things I went through to get to the point i am now. Why– because when I was younger I was so full of ego and thought I knew it all and turned my face up at all the things I am doing now. Things happened just the way they were supposed to even if at the time they didn’t feel like it.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
About me— I did the tradition route. Go to college and get a job. I worked in the advertising industry from 1991-2020. We worked hard and played hard and I loved it for a while. Then I got married and got pregnant with my daughter and my thoughts changed. But, I had to work and so I was a working mom. 4 years after I had my daughter, I had my son. Being a working mom had it challenges, but I wore my working mom title like a badge and my identity was very much tied to my work.
I started my health journey in 2015 because I couldn’t keep up with my life. I lost weight gained energy and was very enconsed in personal development.
Like I said earlier I started deeper work after becoming an entrepreneur full time and that is what I coach people on now. It’s so interesting to ask what problems I solve because the truth is the outcome is different for each person. What we do isthe deep inner work and get to the cause of your limiting beliefs and thoughts and we actively evolve your identity and you become a different version of yourself- one that is really your unique badass self. You are the cause and the effect and I help guide you to not fall into the trap your own tricks- and over come things like imposter sydrome- you know you think people will find you out. We get to the root of it- and rewire and reprogram that thought and belief. Self doubt being another wgy don’t you believe in yourself and of course the corporate hustle culture how you don’t have to hustle al the time and how you can be and not do and that rest is an income producing activity. How to connect to your body more and truly love yourself.
By doing the work- you can create more freedom, more prosperity, more friendships that feel good, more love, more hot sex, Literally it’s all yours.
Is the work serious yeah– but we have fun- i work in song lyrics and quote lines from movies. None of us are getting out alive anyway– might as well enjoy the ride while we are here

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I had to pivot twice in my life. The first in 202o when my freelance position ended and I became an entreprenur full time. That was not a route I saw coming at all.
I pivoted again in September of 2024 When I let go of my network marketing business to focus on my Mindset Coaching business solely

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
I have many stories about this- but I will share 2-
going back to work after my daughter was born, I live in New York– she was born a few weeks before 9/11 and I left her at 10 weeks at daycare on 11.1 and went back to work in manhatten. It was horrible and scary, yet at the time I felt it was my only option.
my second story is more recent- becoming an entrepreneur and building a business is i’ll just say interesting. It’s a literal roller coaster and brings up sooooo many feeling and emotions. Feeling the feelings and emotions– asking for help (which was something I had to actively learn how to do) accepting said help (also had to work on that) and stay the course and quite al the noise coming at me has been one of my greatest triumphs
