We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Alireza Teremah a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Alireza, thanks for joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
During the COVID pandemic, we were in a unique time of booming internet content creation, but on the other hand real-life activities were missing. As an artist in Houston, I wanted to stand out and make a mark, so I created an event company. I saw an opportunity to fill the gap between online fame and the craving for live experiences. This vision also allowed me to attract attention to my music in an authentic way. With a strong network and understanding of what people wanted to see or feel, I felt confident that Rapture Mind could succeed. This journey has been a passion project, aiming to impact the entertainment landscape and my musical career.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m a musical artist and the founder of Rapture Mind. I’ve always had big entrepreneurial dreams and goals across different fields, all focused on making a real impact on society. Over the past 3 years I’ve become known for organizing the most exclusive and upscale 18+ events in Houston, TX. What sets us apart is our passion for authenticity and creativity, creating events that resonate with attendees’ interests. I’m proud of our growth and positive community impact, supporting local artists and enhancing Houston’s entertainment scene. I’m always looking for the next big opportunity and still have many goals yet to achieve.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
One lesson I had to unlearn was trying to always be prepared for every outcome. In my line of work, unexpected problems are inevitable. Early on, I stressed myself out trying to anticipate every possible issue. I learned the hard way that overthinking and trying too hard to prevent problems only causes unnecessary stress. Instead, focusing on what I can control in the present and staying adaptable has made my work way more enjoyable and effective.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is the ability to express my emotions in ways I normally wouldn’t speak about. It takes a weight off my shoulders and brings a sense of relief. Transforming emotions—whether they’re positive feelings, trauma, or pain—into art is very fulfilling. It turns those raw emotions into something beautiful that I can appreciate, serving as a form of self-therapy. This process not only helps me process and understand my feelings but also creates a connection with others who might also be experiencing the same thing.
