We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brandon Royaltii a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Brandon , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I learned to model honestly from just watching other top models that inspired me . Especially Wisdom Kaye of IMG Models , his poses and creative fashion sense helped me grow more confident . What I could have done to speed up my process would have been to do more research on getting on with an agency and knowing the type of photos and content that is needed . Especially being versatile knowing runway and print shoots . As far as skills honestly you just need to work on your model face . You have to tell a story with every shoot or runway show you do . Fierce look is what agency’s really look for while also looking confident and relaxed . Only obstacles I’ll say really is connections and building your brand on social media . You have both of those you will become a very successful model , everything won’t come to you sometimes you have to do the dirty work and reach out yourself never know who you’ll meet and who they know

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’m 22 years old , I got into the industry more so off of connection and taking opportunities. Which put me in a good position to be known as a model . What sets me apart from other models is my versatility, I can do many themes and I can do runway as well which allows me to be able to do any type of model related act . I am most proud of my determination to be better and never let myself get discouraged to the point that I want to quit it’s a bumpy road but it’s all going to be worth it . Any potential talents interested in being a model , have confidence a strong social media platform and a voice to make your self known and make connections.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Bring your own boss and knowing that what you put out is from your own hands it’s definitely a confidence booster and just keeps you going eager to make more content
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
Society should have more platforms for models to connect on so it’s easier for agencies to find models to sign and for models to get together and make content together
