We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Anthony Anderson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Anthony thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
When I was just a kid, I began to have these aspirations. I knew I either wanted to play in the NBA, or make music and be an artist/musician. And from that point on, it became my focus! It’s been that way for as long as I can remember!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello, I’m AYE TEE, a recording artist hailing from Roseville, California, a suburb of Sacramento, California. My journey into the music industry started from a young age, deeply influenced by the vibrant music scene in my hometown and the rich cultural tapestry of the West Coast. I’ve always been passionate about creating music that resonates with people on a personal level, blending various genres to create a unique sound that reflects my diverse influences.
As an artist, I primarily produce and perform music that spans hip-hop, R&B, & Pop. My work includes not only recording and performing songs but also writing lyrics that tell compelling stories and evoke strong emotions. I aim to create tracks that are not only catchy but also meaningful, providing listeners with a genuine and relatable experience.
One of the key problems I solve for my audience is the need for authentic, high-quality music that speaks to real-life experiences and emotions. In an industry often criticized for superficiality, I strive to bring depth and sincerity to my work. My lyrics often touch on personal growth, social issues, and the human condition, offering both entertainment and reflection.
What sets me apart from other artists is my commitment to authenticity and my ability to connect with a diverse audience. I pride myself on being genuine, both in my music and in my interactions with fans. This authenticity has helped me build a loyal fanbase that appreciates not only my music but also my message.
One of the accomplishments I am most proud of is the positive impact my music has had on my listeners. Hearing from fans about how a particular song helped them through a tough time or inspired them to pursue their dreams is incredibly rewarding and motivates me to keep pushing the boundaries of my craft.
For potential clients, followers, and fans, I want you to know that my music is a true reflection of who I am. I pour my heart and soul into every track, striving to create something that resonates with you on a personal level. Whether you’re looking for a song to lift your spirits, a track to vibe to, or lyrics that make you think, my music has something for everyone.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Absolutely. One of the most defining moments in my journey that truly tested my resilience occurred back in August of 2022 when I suffered a heart attack. It was a shocking and life-altering experience that challenged me physically, emotionally, and mentally.
Before the heart attack, I was deeply immersed in my music career, often working long hours in the studio and performing at various venues. My lifestyle was fast-paced and demanding, leaving little room for rest and self-care. Despite feeling occasional fatigue and stress, I never imagined that I was at risk for such a serious health crisis.
The heart attack came suddenly and without much warning. I remember the intense chest pain and the fear that gripped me as I was rushed to the hospital. The days that followed were filled with uncertainty as I underwent treatment and started the long road to recovery. The experience was not only physically taxing but also an emotional rollercoaster. I had to confront my own vulnerability and the reality that my health could no longer be taken for granted.
During my recovery, I found strength in my passion for music and the support of my family, friends, and fans. It was a period of deep reflection, where I reassessed my life choices and priorities. I realized the importance of balance and the need to take better care of myself to continue pursuing my dreams.
One of the most powerful moments during my recovery was when I wrote a song about my experience called “I SURVIVED”. It was a therapeutic process that allowed me to channel my fears, hopes, and determination into my music. Sharing this song with my audience was incredibly impactful; it not only helped me heal but also resonated with many who had faced their own struggles.
This experience taught me the true meaning of resilience. Despite the physical and emotional challenges, I was determined not to let the heart attack define me or derail my career. I used it as a catalyst for positive change, focusing on my health and well-being while continuing to create music that matters.
Today, I am more dedicated than ever to my craft, with a renewed perspective on life and a deeper appreciation for the support of my community. The heart attack was a harsh wake-up call, but it also reaffirmed my commitment to my music and my mission to inspire others through my work. My journey through this adversity has made me stronger and more resilient, and I carry those lessons with me in every song I create.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding aspect of being an artist and creative is the profound connection I get to forge with my audience through my music. There’s something incredibly powerful about the way music can transcend boundaries, touching the hearts and minds of people from all walks of life. When I see my fans resonate with a song I’ve poured my soul into, it validates all the hard work, late nights, and personal sacrifices.
Creating music is an intimate process for me. It’s a journey of translating my experiences, emotions, and thoughts into melodies and lyrics. When I perform, I get to share a piece of myself with the world, and witnessing the crowd’s reaction is nothing short of magical. It’s in those moments—when I see people singing along, dancing, or even shedding a tear—that I truly understand the impact of my art.
One of the most rewarding experiences is hearing from fans who tell me how a particular song helped them through a difficult time or inspired them in some way. Knowing that my music can provide comfort, motivation, or even just a moment of joy in someone’s life is immensely gratifying. It’s a reminder that what I do goes beyond entertainment; it’s about creating a shared human experience.
Another aspect I find incredibly rewarding is the continuous growth and learning that come with being an artist. Each project, collaboration, and performance pushes me to refine my craft and explore new creative avenues. The challenges I face along the way, including personal struggles like my heart attack in 2022, shape me as both a person and an artist. Overcoming these obstacles and emerging stronger is a testament to the resilience and passion that drive me.
Ultimately, the most rewarding part of being an artist is the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy through my music. It’s about creating something that endures, something that people can return to for comfort, inspiration, and connection. Knowing that my art has the power to touch lives and make a difference is the greatest reward I could ask for.
