We recently connected with Larry Montebello and have shared our conversation below.
Larry, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?
Why Moments Made Visual? What does this have to do with photography? Well, here’s a quick Bio of Why and What.
I was about 16yrs old when my mother handed me my first 35mm film camera. My mother at that time was always taking pictures of us and different places we would visit growing up. It got to the point of really Mom your taking pictures of this and us again, not realizing how important this would become later in life looking back on all the photo albums and boxes of pictures. I will say the emotions when looking through all those pictures can be quite powerful. I think it’s as close as we can get to traveling back in time and living that moment again. The memories, The looking back on missing family and friends, Different places we grew up in or simply that one trip out we took of state. Holding that picture and looking how time has changed the places we once knew, But the photograph will simply remain. A moment locked in time on a piece of paper. Why Moments made Visual you ask? For that simple reason. We all live minute to minute and having the ability to be able to capture that unsuspected or staged moment for a life time is truly amazing.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello Fellow reader. My Name is Larry Montebello, I started Moments Made Visual in April of 2023. I’ve been taking pictures for family and friends for quite some time and one of my family members mentioned “Why don’t you start your own company”? Well, to be straight, I was a bit afraid of what people might think when I start putting my work out there.People can be mean. He’s not that good at taking pictures / what if this doesn’t work out then what? All of these and many other thoughts raced through my head. I’ve been in construction for many years from labor to superintendent and have plenty of confidence when it comes to construction. I deal with grown men & women everyday. I lead them into the direction that is best for the project. So when the question was asked and those thoughts and emotions were running wild. I simply took a step back said a prayer and jumped straight in. I created a website: momentsmadevisul.com, Have a license filed with the City of Tucson, P107 Drone pilot and a company that loves to capture that unique moment. From daytime to night time. The services that MMV can provide are: Portraits, Family, Sports, Automotive, Construction, Architecture, Landscape. The Brand of MMV will be to capture that moment that will last for generations.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
There is. The goal or mission is having the ability to highlight and bring glory to God for what he has created with in us. The variety of different aspects within each of us is truly remarkable. With a camera in my hand I’m able to capture that and have it shared for a life time. The goal is to have repeat clients. Finding clients that have the same understanding and passion about life

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
What’s the most rewarding aspect of what I do? Spending time with the client and really connecting with them to be able to capture that moment they will remember, so when I show them the back of the camera and there is an emotional reaction that is truly rewarding. When I’m shooting street or landscape, There’s something that is different when I’m behind the camera. It’s as if I’m looking at a new world and I have the ability to capture the moment of detail within this chaotic world. Almost to the point to where time slows down and what you’re looking at takes you in a journey. Or it’s that one moment you cannot believe what you just froze in time forever and cannot wait to share.
