Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kazo Hyjaki. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Kazo thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you take us back in time to the first dollar you earned as a creative – how did it happen? What’s the story?
I’ve always been passionate about music. In high school, my friends and I began creating music together, which quickly gained popularity around the school. This buzz was so significant that we started earning money from our streams. This success gave us a new drive, leading me to release more music for people to enjoy and to evolve my creative approach.

Kazo, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
When I was 16, I met a producer from across town who introduced me to recording music. We connected through fashion, and I freestyled for him as a joke. He enjoyed it, showed me some of his beats, and the chemistry was immediate. He then introduced me to his producer friends, and I brought in my rapper friends, forming a group. We began working on an album, but the group disbanded midway. Left with the recordings, I decided to release them myself, resulting in my first EP, “For The Love Of Kazo.” This experience led me to learn how to produce and record my own tracks, which allowed me to release music more frequently. I also started recording and producing for others and founded my own label, ‘Love All Fear.’
I aim to be genuine in my lyrics, imagery, and overall message. My inspiration comes more from my emotions than from what I hear. Music has opened many doors for me. The attention my art has garnered has led me to numerous creative opportunities, including modeling, designing, traveling, and more.

Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
At 18, I started reading Will Smith’s book, *Will*, which inspired me greatly and helped me secure interviews, performances, and other career opportunities. Additionally, *Winning* by Tim S. Grover taught me to avoid making excuses and to concentrate on achieving my goals with determination.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Throughout my journey, I discovered that people, including yourself, change over time. It’s important not to become so fixated that you’re afraid of evolution and change.
